Nice info...still no love for the U.S. though sad

And the U.S won't get any love....haters spoiled it for the "lovers" of Prince.

You would clearly know something about that hating part. nod lol

To be fair this is not a 20Ten tour, since he won't play the songs on the tour. I think he gave up on it.

We will have o see. I happen to think just the opposite.

I think you are two people posting under one login... yeah, that's got to be it.

I know I'm getting my hopes up too high if I wish for a US tour... but I really really do!

Drop ypur hopes. It's ain't gonna happen. "No More Candy 4 You" was for U.S and the prince.org "haters".

that is outlandish to think prince doesn't tour in a country over what people on a website think

and if in fact he doesn't tour the states because of what people say on a fansite (which i dont believe ) then that is dumb on his part .

A. Because people from all over the world log on prince.org so how will he even know where these "Haters" are from. come on now!, i know prince has more sense than that.

B. there are "haters" all over the world im sure prince knows this giving that he wrote these lyrics "All he finds are snakes in every color ,Every nationality and size"

i think hes just giving other countries a chance to witness the funk and maybe the pay is good (lmao nothing wrong with that )

my advice to you is, if dont like the website you can leave just as simple as that ... do you see my ass going on a neo- nazi message board... uhh hell no!!

According to Dr. Funkenberry, here's a list of "CONFIRMED" tour dates:

Prince has announced some more tour dates for October and November. /p>

The CONFIRMED dates are:
October 15: Helsinki , Finland
October 18: Bergen, Norway (possible for the 17th also)
October 20: Copenhagen, Danmark
October 22: Herning, Danmark
October 26: Antwerp

November 2: Roma, Italy
November 3: Milano, Italy
November 14: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Barcelona and Zurich dates should be coming soon. Asia, you want to be in the mix? More details soon…..-Dr.FB

(Also Posted in concerts forum)

We’ve been keeping you up to date with the latest on the Fall leg of Prince’s 20Ten tour in Europe, which so far is set to funk through Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and Italy. Now here’s some official purple nuggets about the upcoming tour…

Drummer John Blackwell is back on stage for the October dates in Europe. He’ll be joined by newcomer Ida Nielsen of Denmark on the funky bass. We can’t wait to hear these two hold it down for the Purple Yoda.

We’re also being told that the one and only Sheila E. will be joining the tour. Hot like soup right there, y’all.

The set list will be similar to the earlier 20Ten shows from this summer. So lots of great hits mixed in with some unexpected surprises. You know Prince will always surprise, no matter how many times you’ve seen him.

Ticket sales have already kicked off as of yesterday and they’re going FAST. So if you’re even thinking about hitting one of the shows, don’t delay.

As for the rest of the dates on the tour? Prince won’t commit to any long term plans with promoters so we’ll just have to sit tight and see where else his Royal Badness will decide to visit. It’s just the Prince way, right?

Yeah, we know it can be frustrating for fans who are trying to make plans, but hey, it keeps us on our toes, right? <img src=" /> – Dr.FB

I posted this to another thread, but thought I'd post it here to, as AFAIK it's the first reference made to pending US dates...

It was on the JBP facebook page:

John Blackwell Project May your Thursday be the funkiest!! New Prince dates in Europe being announced, including gigs in Finland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Italy and soon dates in Spain and Switzerland. Look for Asia dates to follow, and US dates after that!!!

Sadly, no mention of Australia sad but I'm still hopeful! beg

Oh, I hope so!!!

Ideally I'd love him to make it really worth his while by doing a 21 nights style residency...even though I realise that's probably really unrealistic neutral

But flying down from wherever he plays in Asia to do a few shows isn't quite as bad as coming from the US or Europe. I still have my fingers crossed that he makes it down here this time, but if he heads back to the US straight from Asia, well then, I'm holding onto my residency idea post-US tour lol

Thanks Chiquetet, now this is the kind of info. on the org that helps and makes me happy. If the Barca gig goes ahead then I get to see a city I've always wanted to see and I will also fly down to see a mate in Malaga...I would have never checked JBP facebook page. Seems like I can begin to get organised...

Cheers!

I think this is the real reason he picks Europe. I think that once he gets over there it is not as much of a pain in the butt to book gigs, get them sold out, find places to play afterwards into the wee hours of the morning and enjoy the beauty of the places without much nuttiness chasing him around. I don't think it is a big " I hate Americans" statement.

I don't know if he can get enough bang for the buck by touring Australia, however he has done it in the past.

There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

You're not a sucker for doing that!

Adventures are meant to be had, so if travelling to see a great artist perform and do some sightseeing in the meantime is your idea of fun, it's worth the money spent smile

I'd definitely travel anywhere within Aus/NZ to see him and would seriously consider further, depending on where in Asia he takes the tour (and when).

Ohhhh, that's right.

Somewhere between then and now I upgraded my fan status from casual (although a friend the other night hotly debated that I've ever been a 'casual' Prince fan) to whatever it is now, so back then I was oblivious to things like diamond tickets and *ahem* aftershows sigh

At the risk of hijacking the thread (last question, I promise!), was that the package where you got to meet him?

I got the $400 tickets (front row, ftw!M in melbourne both shows & then the next grade down from that with the npgmc in Sydney 1st show.

Was spewin when i had 2 get back 2 adelaide the next day & had a mate ring me right before i started my shift at Midnight, only to leave a voicemail with P announcing, "LARRY GRAHAM Y'ALL!"....

I nearly cried,i was hoping to see Larry atleast once on the tour.I had the opportunity to go,cuz i was offerred a ticket, but my plane tickets were non-refundable & spent all my money to get the tix, travel hotels etc...

So i had to choice but 2 miss it otherwise i would have been hitching back to Radelaide.
