I've always loved Prince's slower stuff. This one might grow on me too. I hope it does. I want to like it!
However... this song is very reminiscent of the slower cuts on Lotus Flower.... and Somewhere Here on Earth too.
Cool tune though. I dig it!

The beginning drum part sounds like Scandalous and the sh-la-la-la-la and the guitar riff sounds like an earlier song..Dinner with Delores perhaps..His voice..ohh. [Edited 7/8/10 23:45pm] What is your main problem?

This one just takes my breath away. I can't really say that about any Prince song in a looooong time. Whether or not this is an old vault track, I don't care. This a is a bonafide classic and I'm so happy he still has it in him. | |

If Somewhere Here On Earth displayed Princes growth as a vocalist he just schooled himself with this one! A Classic. The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I love the chorus on this one... the verses seem like they're lacking something, though... not enough of a melody here, maybe? Still, it was the first track I heard that really made me want to listen to it again. I've been generally tired of of the majority of Prince's slow songs for the last several years, though, so this *does* seem like an improvement.

OH YEAH! That's exactly what I said in an earlier post..and the melody at the chorus and the guitar solo kind of sounds like dolphin no! Not dolphin.....dinner with Delores. No that's not it either.
