Let's not go overboard. SHOE is a bit better, but this is great as well.

Kind of typical r&bish fodder... with a funny rap. More often that not I'll skip this and go to the other tracks.

I still think this is a standout because of the way he delivers it and the layered guitar definitely brings it home. My thoughts on the song haven't changed that much.

Yeah it can be interpreted as anything. I think it's a love song to a woman but with a spiritual context. The more I hear it, I can sense its beauty. When it comes to ballads like THIS, he can still bring it home (which contrasts from the other ballads on this lol).

i still like "Somewhere Here On Earth" more.

i just prefer the production and vocals on it over "Future Soul Song".

This is the stuff Prince does better than anyone else. And I like this better than his recent versions of it. I think the low vocals sell it. the guitar fits nicely too- not at all forced. Great vocal arrangements.

This is my favorite song on the album. I feel like this is a sound he was trying to recreate with Somewhere Here On Earth, but he did a much better job of it here.

It seems as if he really focused hard on this one. The other ones are sleepers. But this one you can groove to. IMHO.

LOVIN, LOVIN, LOVIN it... his deep register just takes it there. & the hook is dreamy... the guitar solo brings it on home. My fave on the cd , so far.

Hmm, I actually like SoE but it and Walk In Sand seem completely inspired by Ambien. They're flatter than 70's Olivia Newton-John ballads (which I, also, like a few...). This song seems very focused and the lyrics seem more creatively interesting than 90% of the ballads he's written over the last decade.

Wow...I purposely didn't read any reviews of the songs until I had a chance to listen to it in it's entirety...THis is by far my favorite song on the CD. I have to say, not being really religious

or having religious beliefs, this is the kind of song that gets me thinking about it.

First listen I was thinking...."very nice slow jam." But then I listened to the lyrics...completely transformed everything. The title, the groove, everything!

omg this song is breath taking. It is so beautiful. Everything about it is beautiful. I truly love this song. Words can't explain how it makes me feel. Again, it is so beautiful
