OMG!!! Adore? Purple Rain? When Doves Cry? Yikes!! Are these people really Prince fans?? Those are 3 songs that totally define Prince and his genius!! I'm totally dumbfounded!!

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of Cream or Housequake. Probably good live, but just never listen to them!!

Adore sounds like a church song... right down to the horns and organ music... and then Prince comes in with this falsetto that I swear sound like the old goose necked ladies in the Adult (not Young Adult) but the Adult auxiliary choir. And that is why I don't like Adore.

OK, our ears must really just hear something totally different!! Church? Really? Never heard anything so amazing or pleasureable in a church!! I hear a totally amazing beat with SUPERB vocals, the arrangement, I'm in love with. The lyrics are just genius...Fell in love with the song and Prince the 1st time I heard it. One of my early loves from him!! I could easily argue it's his best ballard ever and in the top 10 best Prince songs of all time!!!

I'm quite surprised actually, I thought I must be the only person on the org who doesn't think Adore is a work of genius

I can understand tracks such as Rave, 7, Batdance not being liked by everybody but Adore always seemed untouchable. Maybe it's like The Emperor's New Clothes... once one person is brave enough to say it others follow suit?

Oh wow, I LOVE TMBGITW!!! That was one of the songs that got alot of people around me back into Prince after they had slipped away. I didn't even know there were people that didn't really like that song?!?!? It's got some of the greatest lyrics and is a great V-day song! Adore is better though!
