I think it must be! ...because I'm feeling a little more charitable towards this track today. I actually think it's harmed by having Walk In Sand proceed it. If SoE was placed somewhere else it might have more impact.

Another beautiful ballad.

'Future Soul Song' is his best since 'Adore'; this is his best since 'Emancipation.'

Jury out on this one. Takes me back to Emancipation days. Could easily fit on disc 2. It's ok and I like the gospel feel half way through. P's falsetto is beautiful here just not sure the composition is strong enough to be memorable.

OK, I no longer think they're turds but as far as this album is concerned, this and "Walk in Sand" are easier the "sleeper tracks".

Motherfucking fuck, I should stop listening to a song once, then commenting. My rare reversal--I really love this song now. I missed some of the music on this the first listen. This is really an excellect song. Nothing masterful, but this really is a great song.

It sounds like a snoozefest at first, but give it a few listens, it will stick like taffy on yo fro. Sweet as candy. No sugar free shit here.

I like the song more than when I first heard it but I prefer Walk in Sand more than this. I wish this song wasn't next to Walk in Sand but I don't know where I would place it at. Still a good song though.

probably the least memorable and most tuneless thing he's ever written. but unlike Walk In Sand, the sound of it at least fits.

honestly, he could have ditched them both. one doesn't fit and one just lays there and they create a dead spot toward the end of the album. I'm sure he's got something sitting around that would have been more appropriate than these two.

This is my favorite ballad on the album. His voice totally makes the song for me, and it reminds me of "Somewhere Here On Earth" in that way. I'd love to hear this live.

First listen: bit boring. Same old, same old. But like his voice on it and the lyrics are fine. It is probably gonna be a grower, so not gonna write it off as there's quite a few tracks (I hate U being one), that I really didn't like on first listen, but ended up being some of my favourites.

Yeah, the more I listen, the more I am sure that this one will grow on me. love the backing vox.
