I can imagine, Prince in the same get-up on the "2010" cover and Bria singing some song together if you press play on the bottom of the toy stage ramp.

Why is everything in the Daily Record so grey? Its the same owner, same price but not one drop of colour in it...is it different at the weekends? FUNKNROLL! "February 2014, wow". 'dre.

In the UK, once you go north of the Watford Gap, everything gradually turns grey until ultimately, around about Berwick, just before you hit the Scottish border all is completely black and white. So we get colour newspapers in the South. Grey ones in the North. Just somewhere in the middle,

Prince 20Ten: Comedian Lenny Henry raves about new album after sneak preview
we love you lenny .......does anyone know if he's an orger?????? By Lenny Henry 8/07/2010 Play it..I dare you not to dance I'll be listening to my Prince albums until the day I die. He's a little guy but a musical giant so I am honoured to have been asked to review his new album, song by song: 1: COMPASSION This is vintage Let's Go Crazy-style Prince. It's got that mad off-beat snare drum and that two-time electro handclap. 2: BEGINNING ENDLESSLY A midtempo funk jam where Prince asks: "Why should you be satisfied with just Heaven and Earth?" 3: FUTURE SOUL SONG A ballad in which Prince dreams about piloting a jet with the power of his brain. Very laid-back with a nice "Oooo-eeooo, sha-la-la" hook. Dreamlike, ethereal, sexy. 4: STICKY LIKE GLUE This is where the album takes off for me. Once again, when the end is in sight, Prince unleashes the funk - tight-as-agnat's-chuff rhythm guitar switches to a one-string lead line and a gospel call and response. As my Uncle Clifton used to say: "Choon!" 5: ACT OF GOD Prince sings about fat bankers and Saddam Hussein (I suppose finding a rhyme for Bin Laden is trickier). 6: LAVAUX A funky, familiar tune where he dreams about Lavaux, an idyllic spot on Lake Geneva which has vineyards, and Portugal which has - Ronaldo. Very groovy. Look forward to the follow-up about Butlins Minehead. 7: WALK IN THE SAND On any other album this would be considered a stand-out. It's got a lovely light, midtempo rhythm plus melodic hooks that any artist would die for. It's just so unfortunate that it comes before... 8: SEA OF EVERYTHING The ballad of the album. The falsetto voice here is so malleable, this is Prince the honorary Delfonic, the apprentice Chi-Lite, the 21st-century Smokey Robinson. Prince has always sung well in this register but he seems to have improved with age... damn. 9: EVERYBODY LOVES ME Synth-rock with a squelchy bass hook about two minutes in that makes your bum want to wiggle around. There's a cheeky little piano hook that goes to show there ain't no shame in having a good time. 10: LAYDOWN Lowdown, dirty funk-rock dipped in chicken grease and served up bubblin' hot. This is the guitar rock god and he's takin' no prisoners. Go on, dip yer bread. I really enjoyed this album and, as usual, all thoughts of his past triumphs slipped from my mind as I got lost in the present - stripped down to my purple pants, peach and black socks and my Ray-Bans. I dare you not to dance. Keep it coming...http://www.mirror.co.uk/c...-22397008/Prince - Portrait of an enigma: The visionary who fused soul, funk and rockHe was the most exciting American pop star of the 80s - a genius who straddled every genre from heavy metal to MOR, who danced like a randy Nijinksy, played guitar like a demon and sang like an androgynous angel. The man rock critics dubbed His Royal Purpleness had a difficult childhood. Born in 1958, he was the chronically introverted son of a singer mother and a troubled jazz musician father, who left his Minneapolis home when Prince was still a toddler. As for so many aspiring superstars, music became for Prince a solace. In the words of Madonna, "He has a chip on his shoulder, he's competitive, he's from the Mid-West, from a screwed-up home, and he has something to prove". Warner Brothers saw great potential in the pint-sized, multiinstrumental wunderkind who synthesized his own style from diverse black and white influences. When Prince demanded the right to produce his own debut album, the label gave him the green light. In 1979, he scored his first hit, the irresistibly funky I Wanna Be Your Lover and was on his way to the top. Then, just as Prince looked set for mainstream R&B success, he reinvented himself as the lewd, very rude, sexy soul boy on Dirty Mind and Controversy. But it was the album 1999 and its smash single Little Red Corvette which launched the Prince phenomenon into the garish new world of MTV, taking him out of black radio and pushing him towards white America, and then the world. Purple Rain established him as a genuine global superstar and the hits poured down for the rest of the decade. However, the 1990s came to be dominated by Prince's dispute with Warners, causing him to daub SLAVE on his face and change his name to an unpronounceable symbol. He'd reached a crossroads in his career. * Barney Hoskyns Author of the Prince biography Imp Of The Perverse

Sex rules the world: How girls dominate Prince's life and workBy Gavin Martin 8/07/2010 Prince's career and personal life have always featured an ever-changing line-up of beautiful, talented ladies. The showstopping appearance with Beyoncé at the 2004 Grammy Awards was just the latest confirmation of the "Women not girls rule my world" declaration made on the 1986 smash hit single Kiss. From early in his career, women such as Wendy and Lisa, Jill Jones and Sheila E have featured prominently in his bands. The statuesque Apollonia - aka actress Patricia Kotero - played Prince's love interest in his massively successful 1984 movie Purple Rain. He reciprocated, playing a gay guy going after her bisexual male lover, on the album by her band Apollonia 6. She also first recorded the Prince song Manic Monday which later became a hit for The Bangles. Another artist transformed by the purple one's songwriting was Sinead O'Connor, who had her greatest hit with Nothing Compares 2 U. It went to No 1 around the world in 1990. British starlet Sheena Easton also profited from her creative association with the Paisley Park legend, having her sexiest hit with his suggestive Sugar Walls. The pair also famously duetted on the no-holds-barred 1987 single U Got The Look. Soul legends Chaka Khan and Mavis Staples both enjoyed a spell on Prince's label, benefitting from his professional rather than personal touch, with Khan scoring a hit with the Prince track I Feel For You. Another protegée was Anna Garcia who, as a 16-year-old, met Prince at a London concert. Two years later, and renamed Anna Fantastic, she was living and recording with him in Minneapolis. Playboy and Baywatch starlet Carmen Electra was another star who had a shortlived spell on Prince's label. There have, though, only been two women to have snared Prince as a husband. The first was backing singer Mayte Garcia. They wed in 1996. Their only child, Gregory, died soon after birth from a rare skull defect, and the couple divorced in 2000. A marriage to Paisley Park employee Manuela Testolini ended after five years in 2006, but Prince has since found happiness with current girlfriend/protegée Bria Valente. Prince - slave to his music: Record label rows then a creative renaissanceWhen Prince appeared with word SLAVE written on his face at the Brits in 1995, it meant the battle that had been brewing for some time with his Warner Brothers record company paymasters had gone public. Determined to wrest ownership of his songs from the label, Prince had begun to deliver albums quicker than Warners wished to release them. They then refused to market The Gold Experience in 1994 - his latest, greatest release since Sign O' The Times seven years earlier. Enraged, Prince effectively buried his past, renaming himself as an unpronounceable symbol, meaning he was widely referred to as The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, TAFKAP for short, and refusing to play Prince material live. The shows continued to woo delighted fans and receive rave reviews as the man some now called 'squiggle' treated audiences to exhuberant performances packed with new material. Finally free after reaching a legal settlement with Warners, he fulfilled a longtime ambition by releasing a triple CD Emancipation in 1996, celebrating his marriage to Mayte as he ended his period of 'slavery'. With the increased domestic availability of the internet, Prince was an early adopter and his huge Crystal Ball retrospective became the first album to be distributed on the web. Prince then set up the New Power Generation Music Club ensuring the immediate release for his music as he released a range of material including jazz albums and instrumental collections. With the ending of his Warners publishing contract in 2000, he once again assumed the Prince moniker. The pioneering groundwork reaped rewards with his Musicology tour and album in 2004 as he became the highest earning musician of the year. Prince's artistic renaissance continued apace with the superb 3121 album, 21 nights at London's O2 arena, and the jaw-dropping 2007 Superbowl performance viewed by 140 million. Last year, fans were treated to three new albums via his website and now we have the seamless blend of rock and soul that is 20Ten. Battles fought, war won.
