I am loving this new track! It's so much fun, it's catchy and another example of Prince's ability to master up a POP GEM!

I hope this song is on the new album!

Happy Birthday PRINCE and thank you for sharing with us a new summer jam!

More irrelevant drivel.

I miss the days when even Prince's weakest material was better than the best material on the radio.

I would rather listen to Justin Bieber than this.

I hope that this does not reflect his current musical direction.

Where have you been for the past decade? This is the expected destination of his gradual downward spiral: complete creative irrelevance.

It looks like this radio station plays a decent selection of music, it's a pity this is the tripe kids will be hearing from Prince. They must all be wondering how this guy achieved legend status and isn't working in jingles for a local advert company.

I agree. This song is completely lame. He should be ashamed of this complete horseshit.

It is reminiscent of a Kohl's jingle or something.

I can picture 30 something soccer moms with high waisted jean shorts (rolled up at the hem, naturally) jumping up into the air one after the other, while their kids laugh at the out of control sprinkler and the dad is at the grill with his Kiss the Cook apron.

Of course, they're all cheesy as fuck lookin white people too.

O.K. listened to it 5 times now. I see even some of Prince's usual detractors have had a few good things to say about this song. I wish I did too. I think the problem with this as a single stand alone track it is just too simple to get excited about it. It's Prince in autodrive.

If this were part of an album that had some more original developed tunes, MAYBE I could think of it as a fun album track that I wouldn't skip every time I put the album on. MAYBE.

But as a standalone song, this is just utterly forgetable to me.

I'm not 12 years old and Prince is a musical God so I'm not going to say, "It sucks". But for me persionally it's just another one in a long line of tunes that any song writer could come up with in their sleep.

Definitely not feeling it.

Unfortunately I think I agree. It doesnt even really sound like him because of the multitracked duet vocals. Intro is overlong and really pretty lame. I do like the synth sounds though, and some witty wordplay gives it an extra half-star.

Take it - like Clarence said:

I've said it b 4, prince is in a serious slump. He does need 2 check out BrownMark's new cd, it may inspire the dude. its nice different and fresh. unlike prince last few songs which sound like B-sides. not hitting prince,u slumping. Come on Prince bring it u still got it. i hope.

His music is starting to become similar to the appearance of Michael Jackson over the years, as all I can do is listen to his new music and think, "What the heck happened!?"

He can play now better than ever before, yet he writes worse than ever before. He made better and deeper music at 18 than he does now at 51.

I hope he snaps out of it.

Not bad, not great... but remember, this is Prince. You never buy a Prince CD for the song that promotes it, you buy it for the CD as a whole. Prince always delivers CD's that you want to hear all the way through, you WANT to know what is around the cornor, you want to hear the next lyrics and the next music. He has been proving this since 1999 album.

We will not be able to judge any of this until we hear the entire album.

We are all so full of doody here

I'll take Sex in the Summer or ANYTHING from the 80's he did over this. What happened, it's as if he's resting on his laurels and putting out mediocre stuff, not pushing the edge like he used to. I'm starting to wish he put this in the vault and let something from it see the light of day. The man needs a MUSE! Susannah...where are you?

I'm the type who thinks when a person has nothing else to say/write, he/she needs to stop talking/writing. There's no shame in that, especially after 40 years. It's like a form of retirement.

Maybe he should start releasing instrumental albums now. hmmm

I'd love to know what the programming director at this station thinks of these aural assaults. Obviously they have to play something given to them by a local legend, and I'm sure they're hoping his support of their station (as evidenced by his giving them two career ending tunes) will parlay into some sort of station-concert cross-over, but my god, they've got to start wondering if it's worth it. I mean, aren't they a public radio station? They try to steer clear of the corporate world and then in comes Prince, giving jingles for days.

No hard feelings.

Who made all of U music Critics? Do any of u write for Rolling Stone, Billboard, or New York post? The song is not bad at all. Stop being so critical of everything Prince does..

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince
