Just noticed your name..that probably explains your comment.. "Why yes! Mr Benitez it's a great remix. No! Mr Benitez, its doesn't sound at all like cheap nasty talentless 80's shit..." "My God it's full of Stars"

I like it. It's not something I'd purchase in stores/online, but I'd dance to it if it were played in the club or something. "Pedro offers you his protection."

Yes...the full 7 minutes remix on Prince's channel: [Org rules have not changed. Aside from the original clip in this thread, there is still no posting of youtube clips on the org - Mars23] Interesting he made it 7 minutes long. Looks like he gave youtube another vid of "Dance4me" with the original track, which is 4 minutes 58 seconds long. I'm glad a vid with the original version is there for those of us who like the original track with the hallelujahs and all. I like the original version better, the remix is obviously for the club scene. [Edited 9/15/09 9:56am]

Eh... I'm not feeling it, but whatever.
What gets me, though, is the "making of" video. Um... really!?! They documented this guy like he was discovering penicillin or something. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

If this came on in the club,I'm not going to stop dancing...and I guess that's what matters. But I'm sure all of the producers that are here on The Org could do a better job.I'm not feeling his chords at all.

It just has no sense of build, and the sounds are so generic. That keyb lick running throughout is just way too glow-sticky.

Perhaps on tuesday. Anyone seen downloads available on mentioned sites ?

Every one knows that the original song has to be raped to make a mix.
But who cares that the mix is not about a Prince song. Its good that Prince will be played by a new generation of DJ's like Tiesto. They bring the music to a million of people who probably never heard of Prince before. Like in Holland. Prince has already be forgotten by the mainstraim youth. Just because Prince has forgotten to promote himself overthere for almost a decade. No concerts, no hits, no news on the telly, no live performance on the TV (Jay Leno etc.) So for me, it's good to hear a danceble mix again of my fav. artist. Welldone

This is a mediocre mix which could have been good in the 90's, with the likes of Cappella, Haddaway, Corona and 2Unlimited productions.
It's 2009 in here and electronic music has made huge steps, not only in terms of blooming of genres, but also with new equipment and tools. New synth pads, noise generators, machines that inglobes vintage analogue loops, etc.. I fear this mix is not gonna get any space in serious clubs or from serious djs, because, let's face it, the "I would die for you" white label 2006 mix was a stunner, this is... mediocre. Anyway, Prince should consider other known songs of his catalogue to be remixed. There are young and good producers out there, from minimal techno artists to dub, cosmic disco to micro House. Maybe Prince should read Resident Advisor ( http://www.residentadvisor.net/ ) and listen to some samples. Maybe we all should. Ciao

I hate house music. I hated in the 80s, I hated in the 90s, I hate it today, and I'll hate it tomorrow. I hated "Thieves in the Temple" House Mix and every other house mix. The term "house music" is a synonym for "crap!" I love Prince. I drink the Kool-Aid. I'm still playing Lotusflow3r/MPLS right now. It is own heavy rotation in my crib and my car, but that remix of "Dace 4 Me" puts me back in time when I sat on the couch, listening to the "Thieves in the House" Remix, thinking "Why, why, why, why, why, why.!!!!" And to all of the people who will say, "What about 'Housequake?'" "Housequake" was Prince using the name of the genre to get attention to the song, but the song, "Housequake," had nothing to do with house music. It was funk, which is what "Dance 4 Me" is. And it is too funky to be soiled with house music. Thank you for coming, but drive safely.

Good for somebody still listening to that weak ass collection of Prince mining his own much better songs (Dance 4 Me = Weak-rotic city).

The original is average, which is waaaay better. I don't like the way you talk about Prince or his music. I just listened to the album version this morning. First listen, a few youtube vids aside, to any Prince stuff in months. I was actually kinda enjoying 'Chocolate Box' as I worked out too, but I know deep down his latest fare is pretty poor. We have such different tastes in Prince music, but falsetto unites us.

Good for somebody still listening to that weak ass collection of Prince mining his own much better songs (Dance 4 Me = Weak-rotic city). Don't be mad at me 'cause you don't know the real deal when you hear it. Lotusflow3r/MPLS is excellent!!! And I've been down since 1980. I'm not trying to convince you that you should like it, but to call "Dance 4 Me" a weak "Erotic City" is just reaching for straws. While you keep living in the past and comparing, I'm going to keep enjoying the funk, rock, & r&b of today. I love "Erotic City," then and now, but that doesn’t keep me from loving his current output. I’m not interested in living in a "Pastime Paradise."
