From what I've heard, it may only be intended as a DJ Promo CD-R. So far, to my knowledge, the only track released commercially is the French iTunes-only Icon remix. The end of video says their will be a release on multiple online sites, including iTunes, Amazon, etc. It's not clear if that'll be just the Icon mix or the whole track list you posted, but it should be on more than just the french iTunes. Perhaps on tuesday. Odd marketing of this album. There were some initial minimal promotion, then nothing until first the radio release of Better with Time a couple of weeks ago and now this video on YouTube. Anyone know how long the exclusive deal with Target was for? |

Sounds very like Rave Into the Joy Fantastic-remixes, so nothing refreshing in my opinion.

I like wHAT I have heard so far....sounds great for a club and Prince knows this is the perfect track to remix and release - and good on him for choosing David A.

It's an Alesis Andromeda A6.. one of the coolest analog (but digitally controlled) polysynths ever made. That slide thing is a ribbon, which you can use to assign all sorts of parameters to. The synth has 16 voices, each consisting of 2 oscillators, and it's 16 part multitimbral (meaning that it can play 16 different sounds at once). It has 2 filters, one based on the moog ladder filter (like the minimoog), and the other on the oberheim sem filter (oberheim used to be a staple in Prince's sound in the early 80's). A friend of mine used to have one, which he sadly had to sell so he could pay the rent for his house.. lol. What's killing me on this thread is the ones going to bat for it & it's only cause some of us wants to save face. I'm a huge P fan, but junk is junk. This will not enhance ANY album sales at all. Yes i've questioned from day 1 why this album/songs aren't getting any airplay & remixes like this won't change that. I haven't brought an R. Kelly album since 05' but he knows how to remix a song.
