I'd really be surprised if this wasn't true actually... the way he's hammered those hips over the years, it's common with dancers and athletes, but I also have a friend in her late 30's, who is neither and she recently had two hip replacements. I respect people's religious beliefs but think it's pretty sad that someone feels they have to live in pain... I don't think God wants any one to live in pain or die, if there's an alternative, but I won't get into any of that! It's not going to get any better if he doesn't do something about it...

I am not religious, but seeing as billions of people are, I find it hard to believe that people think you can't be religious AND open minded.

Hip damage (or more appropriately, hip wear) is fairly common in dancers and athletes, as Jen pointed out, and Prince was both 2 the extreme. But this seems like a shady source, and I don't know why people R saying Roger Freidman is credible.

And when it's discovered that this is not just a rumor -- that he really does need hip surgery (which I believe is the truth), will they apologize? Prince is 51 (whether he wants to celebrate birthdays or not), he is not infallible as some like to believe, and there is nothing wrong with that.

What is wrong is jeopardizing one's health because of made-up religious crap. I hope Prince will realize this and get the medical help he needs regardless of what the Watchtower says.

Sometimes the fix is worse than the problem and can cause more. So because someone doesn't believe in the same personal medical treatments as others, that makes them morons and stupid? (not saying you said that, just in general)

With something as major as a hip replacement, I wouldn't do it either until I just couldn't take it anymore. But surgery would be my last option, not first, and it has nothing to do with religion.
