Elixer - Everytime (sounds like a Disney song)
LF - $ (just plain goofy... real music for real old people)

Completely disagree about $ and Here...both are outstanding in my eyes and ears...

Elixer - not sure, can't really pin down one song that stands out as the worst lol confused...

LF - Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful or 77 Beverly Park (both are ok, though)

MPLSound - Ol' Skool Company or Better With Time (both are ok, though)

'4ever' seems the most contrived to me. Over-blown. It doesn't really fit with the rest of the album, even.

It just seems to me he felt obligated to put a 'chick song' in there someplace.
(Not for this chick, thanks!)

It also seems like a lot of words about nothing.
Then there's that 'stop looking at me like that unless you want me to bite that' part. Maybe his worst lyrics ever?

I have to skip to the next track before it gets to that part every time.

I didn't like 'Love Like Jazz' but the guitar solo toward the end saves it for me. Right now I'm tired of 'The Morning After,' but I still like the rest of the CD.

(If we're talking about the whole set, there are more than a couple on 'MPLSound' and 'Elixer' that I can't listen to.)

FGFBFW is too lethargic in my eyes...and Prince's screeching towards the end is just irritating lol lol...77 Beverly Park starts off really cool for about 10 seconds, then turns into a bland instrumental that I swear I've heard him do before.

OSCo....I like the first 60 seconds of the song, but then it just becomes repetitious. And the lyrics don't even slightly draw me into the song...seems more like rambling. Better With Time is nice, but it just doesn't grab me too much.

But again, all of these songs are ok, none are bad...but they are the ones I tend to skip past.

Lotusflow3r- "Love Like Jazz" and "77 Beverly Park" don't work 4 me.

MPLSound- "Valentina" and "(There'll Never B) Another Like Me" don't get it at all.

Elixer- EVERYTHING!

But that said there are still some great songs on this album, those are just the ones I'm not personally feeling. smile

Elixer: Everytime (yup, would fit perfectly in Aladdin 6. Love the album though)

MPLSoUND: Never B Another (grown on me though)

Lotusflow3r: 4ever (without the good musicianship, this is a westlife hit...)

Every other track is slammin'

I haven't listened to Elixer as I have no interest in it.

I quite like the Prince albums. That said, my least favorites would be:

"Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful"- it's nice enough, though, and that speaks more about the quality of the album than the weakness of this song, per se. I just feel that he's done this type of song in a better, good, wonderful way before. lol

I don't like either of the first 2 songs on MPLSoUND. I was worried that I'd hate the disc entirely (which is so strange given that I LOVE Prince's Minneapolis sound from the 80s), but I quite like tracks 3-9.

I'm kinda at odds with things. I think both Feel Better and Old School Company don't sound that great on CD, however both kicked total ass live. I think these two will be major jams in Prince's live shows for the next few years.

LF- Wall of Berlin for sure. This song could have been great, but is bogged down with cheese-ball instrumentation and some terrible lines

MS-Valentina...f***ing embarrassing. PS Here would be a thousand times better without that dumb ascending synth. An acoustic version would be classic

El- I also haven't listened to it yet

I really do love the whole "Lotus Flower," cd...

"Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful," in my opinion is the weakest song out of all three cd's. cool
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Elixer = "Immersion" a little too new agey for me.

Lotusflow3r = "Crimson And Clover" meh, I would have preferred a Prince original. I like quite a few of his live covers but on an album I feel a little cheated that I got one less Prince song. Also "77 Beverly Park" is a little too laid back.

MPLSoUND = Definitely "Better With Time." Much too cheesey! It's got a bit of "The Arms Of Orion" in it. I also don't enjoy "Ol' Skool Company." I find it pretty monotonous and boring.

The song he left off the album because he did not want the running time to be too long.

But I am sure when I do hear it I will love it smile
