Nate, thank you for your post. I really believe you should reshape it and send it to NPGMC. If I were you I would repost the reshaped version here in the .org, not to use it as a petition, but for other sort of dissatisfied members to get inspiration for their potential emails to NPGMC !
I totally agree on the equal treatment of members. Think that I have joined only after tourdates were announced in europe. Why did I not join before? Because, even though I would buy every new release from Prince, I would not like the idea of paying 25 $ each CD (I know, I know that includes exclusivity and postage...) even if they were indeed 4 different projects like say Madrid 2 Chicago, Xenophobia, One Nite Alone and The last December. In my case the money I paid was worth, cause I was in the front at three concerts and witnessed more than 2 and half hours of soundchecks and one free afterparty. But, what if I were living in Brazil... I just feel for those members and yes the club need to be improved, no doubt about it. How could it be possible that if it was not for the org it would have been extremly difficult to know that two extra late nite concerts were going on sale? No, e-male, no news on the website, no news in the members section, just the dates added in the concert page !! Not to mention the change of concept from aftershow to late-nite show... Ah, one last question: how are those fans going to feel in terms of "exclusivity" when they will see the live box go retail, before they got theirs in the mailbox ?? peace nickfunk

Nate said: Do I take it, from a great deal of response here, and on the BBB thread, they we have a great deal of "I'm all right, so fuck you" fans in here!?!?" These are the people who scream, "He did deliver!" or "what do you expect for 100 dollars?" Because they got their stuff, they are blind to the fact others didn't. Thats fine, but why do they keep turning up on the threads, trying to defend the club all the time? Hmmm... maybe because most of them are working for NPGMC?

Theres the normal ass kissers on here who discuss topics regularly. Then theres these once in a blue moon screenames that flood and thread which criticizes Prince, and tries to counteract any objective and legitimate criticism with childish remarks that were just stupid and ungrateful. If you look at the profiles of these names, many were made on the same day. Some only have 10 -20 posts though they were created months ago, and many of the names were made around the times when the complaints about the club escalated throughout the year. Whats funny is they all talk alike. It could be a mere 2 or 3 people.

Prince could release Roadhouse Garden, the original Crystal Ball,& the Undertaker as the next 3 albums and you will complain about the "sound quality" or "too many overdubs" ,yada, yada, yada. Wrong. I rarely express criticism about the QUALITY of anything Prince records. One of the reasons I wish he would release this stuff is so the sound quality would be good - that, and because there is obviously demand for it, he'd make some cash and beat the "pirates" at thier own game...

Same style, mentality & they swarm like mosquitos on newly started threads, then they move on to the next one. Never anything constructive or challenging to add in positive forum. Sorry for the pun but "its like they have a gun to their head" and only they can pull the trigger. I've seen this on other websites, I agree and think it best to move the discussion to your site if you think it needs to go to next level. again.. Great thread Nate! Exactly. Hmmm.
Looking back at this thread from only a couple of weeks ago, funny how things change. I think Nate is dead right I wonder, with the site now down, and people fearing the clubs status, how many would be simply glad for things to return to "normal" like they were before the site closure? I bet there are quite a few. So what the NPGMC have done, is take away the site because its acting like a child. When it comes back, it will be more liked. How pathetic would that be? I don't subscribe to the "being updated" plot, as they would simply say that on the current page. They are actually risking more contractual breakages if they keep the site down, afterall, our membership paid for all of 2002. They are cutting off their nose to spite their face. .

One thing I gotta take back given my experience in Vegas - the whole seating situation thing. I'm so glad they adopted the system the fans came up with (numbered wristbands, lining up according to #) b/c it allows me to get closer than I ever have before AND go get some sleep before the show!! As long as they keep that system going, instead of the "stand in line or you're fucked" system, I'm all for general seating...

I think the club is the best thing he has ever done for his fan base. It has improved since it's birth and is far superior to it's original form. After my experiences with the 3 concerts w/(soundchecks/aftershows) this year, I am totally satisfied. It has never been better then this, and I can't say anything negative about the club. I'm not saying that there is no room for improvement, but it's getting better and is well worth the annual price..
I believe it will continue to improve, as will the concert experiences. The music he's doing right now is perfect for him, perfect for the tour, and I believe he is at the top of his game. Long live Newpower! (Boy, that was a boatload of positivity.. I think I'll go hug someone now...) cracknbush
