Just curious, are you a musician? I'm interested in your technical analysis of how Cora is rising on the funk meter... I am, I haven't got a real technical analysis. But if you see her 2006 performances it looked and sounded like she was really unconfortable with the funk (sometimes even off-beat mistakes) now she became better. I still prefer john blackwells funky breaks though.

The fact that 3/4 of the audience was so bored tells you all you need to know. U had many people from around the world and different age groups attending the Leno show, so don’t expect all those people 2b in2 Prince. THIS was NOT a Prince CONCERT, he was a guest performer on this show. THEREFORE, it makes a big difference in crowd reaction. It had nothing 2 do with Prince Performance. When Prince did the Good Morning America concert, which was a Prince crowd it was totally Prince fans from all over and plus it was free and more open space. TV shows are different, but I thought u would already know that. U have many Tourists that appear on TV shows and I was glad 2 see as many Prince Fans there. I loved everything about his performance. It has been an all out party 4 the past 3 nights. All I can say is THANK U PRINCE AND THE BAND.... Absolutely Flawless Hugs 2 u Prince

As reported on www.gibson.com
http://www.gibson.com/en-...-leno-327/ If you close your eyes, your ears might tell you you’re listening to a newly unearthed Jimi Hendrix song. That’s the vibe of the new song, “Dreamer,” debuted by his purple majesty, Prince, during the second leg of his three-night residency on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. But then you hear his voice – and power funk/rock of his brilliantly tight backing band – and you realize it can only be his Purple Badness doing what he does best. “Dreamer” is by far Prince’s most rockin’ song in years, and if the rest of his new three-CD offering bears any resemblance to it then expect to run out to your local Target location beginning this Sunday, Mar. 29 to pick up your copy of LOtUSFLOW3R, MPLSoUND, along with a third CD from his new protégé Bria Valente (look for her with Prince on tonight’s Jay Leno show), all for just $11.98. But if you don’t believe us, then listen for yourselves. Check out the video then leave us your thoughts in our new comment section below. Is it Prince, or is it a reincarnated Hendrix in a tiny man’s outfit with a light blue Strat? The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

I did see Ms. Rodgers as well very cute the girl that had the matching dress was cute. I don't know why peeps on here are talking about Bobby he really is a nice guy and if you ever get a chance to party with him and his friends you will have a great time. I know for a fact that Prince loves him very much cuz he brings it everytime. I don't know why people on here would diss other fans other than maybe just being mean at heart. I don't see what talking about another fan like some on here does for the person talking. They have paid money to see Prince over the years just like you. I wonder what would be said about you if you were caught on camera? Granted you might not be so "out" there with the love but it is still love in the same. You never know what is going on in other peoples lives. She might be strange to you but you might be strange to others as well and the Bobby comments just way outta line I loved seeing him there it made me happy cuz if I was there I would be groovin 2. Just my 2 cents much love and respect.
Thank u so much mayrain. I could not have said it better. I totally enjoyed Bobby and glad I know who he is now. I love the whole attitude be brought with him and u can bet Prince did 2

Sloppy? Messy?
You mean, the performance of Old Skool Company on Leno? This performance of Feel good, feel better, feel wonderfull was IMO the best of all three perfomances on the Tonight Show. I think it was better then the album version: more energy, more loose.

The "Freaks on this Side" chant was a perfect choice. The only thing that would have completed the vibe would have been if Doug E. Fresh had popped out the trunk of that car and dropped a verse. So Prince did 3 appearances on Leno and two of which sucked ass. I'm thinking that's what this 3CD set will be like. 1 good, 2 awful.

I was very skeptical about this release upon reading the reviews and listening to what was online but now I am pleasantly surprised. Even the Bria album has its moments and is quite good actually when you compare it to other protege albums. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! 2freaky4church1 said: The band is just so lackluster. Prince had to respond to a weak ass La crowd. Looked like they were waiting for Garth Brooks. Damn oakies.
It wasnt the crowd, its the band overall, it is a weak lineup plain and simple. Usually his bands are more polished, and force Prince to up his game, example being the ONA tour, now it seems that Prince has a weaker band that he has to carry, which is ok, because people are there for Prince not his band. But then again, to me, out of the 75 shows i have seen by the man, the best ones ALWAYS had the Best lineups and elevated him just as much as the material did. This lineup seems very weak, almost as weak as the Emancipation lineup was early on, with the exception of maybe Rhonda smith. I AM SOOOOO glad he chose to play another song from his Albums on the 3rd night, instead of Elixer. I just didnt really care for the album. only 2 songs i heard on there were worth listening 2 more than once.. that 2nite and the title track

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when he called Jay up on the stage for Jay to say his show-closing stuff, did he try to give Jay a high five? And then Jay didn't see him doing it so he left Prince hangin' and Prince kinda played it cool and went back to jammin'. I was like, "Oh Snap! Jay left Prince hangin'!" I know Prince was saying something like, "he's still that dude" and he could have been just pointing at him, but it really looked like he was trying to high-five him and he got left with his hand hanging in the air! LOL "this is where the PURPLE PARTY PEOPLE be"

Fell Better Feel Good Feel Wonderful Now thats what I'm talking about! Thats normally how it is when Prince performs a song live! It is usually better than the studio track! Absolutely bangin!!! I can't stop smiling! The Freaks on this side chants gave me chills that crowd totally got it! and that harmonica absolutely belonged in this song! [Edited 3/28/09 15:59pm] Dance...
