I like seeing Prince on Leno because he's relaxed and they play funny jokes on each other. He was on with Mel Gibson back when they had the controversy over his Passion film and Prince cracked, "wanna take in a movie later?", or something like that. Gibson acted like he was scared to death that P might touch him or something, LOL! Don't know if it's true but I was told that he stopped doing Letterman because during his last visit Dave was smoking a cigar with his back turned during the performance and P wasn't amused. I always liked Leno a lot better than Dave anyways...he's funnier to me and he seems nicer. True. Jay has a sense of humor. Dave's NY snobbery shows a bit sometimes. When Joaquin Phoenix pulled that joke on him a couple of weeks ago, it looked like Dave was getting annoyed and basically insulted Joaquin, because he didn't know if Joaquin was serious or not. Jay definitely seems to appreciate and respect his musical guests better than Letterman. [Edited 3/10/09 18:54pm] David was playing along with the bit. Trust me, he's been around the block and was in on the gag.

I See The Future Edit. [Edited 3/10/09 10:02am] I thought they already did? And for five nights? Didnt they? Yes. 5 nights of U2, indeed. I'm not a betting man, but I'll wager my entire Yanni collection that Prince will extend his stay to 5 nights. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yes, I'm guessing from your username you are in the UK. CNBC is shown on Sky satellite, Virgin, (not sure if it's on Freeview). The Tonight Show is usually 2 or 3 days behind the American broadcast. I usually check the Tonight show website for the guests the day before Prince and then tally that up with the Sky Electronic Programme Guide on screen. thanks "Sisters and brothers in the purple underground, find peace of mind in the pop sound!"
