Let's be fair, Leno hasn't been funny since... never. He's more hateful than anything else.

I used to think he wasn't funny til I went to see Prince play on his show. before he started filming he came out and spoke with the audience without the q cards and I thought he was more funny than when the show started.

How can I get tickets?

http://www.nbc.com/Footer/Tickets/

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno/Tickets
3000 W. Alameda Ave.
Burbank, CA 91523

Tickets to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno are available by U.S. mail.

To order, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a brief letter listing the desired date of taping and three alternate dates. You can request up to four tickets, but seating is limited. Audience members must be at least 16 years old. If tickets are available for the date you request, they will be sent to you by return mail approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the show date. All mail requests are processed on a first come, first-served basis and should be submitted at least 6 weeks in advance.

Tickets for a specific show are available the day of the show only at the NBC Ticket Box, located at NBC in Burbank, CA. The NBC Ticket Box opens at 8:00 a.m. All available tickets are distributed to the public on a first come, first-served two (2) tickets per person basis.

We're sorry, but tickets for other NBC shows that are taped before a live audience are not available through NBC at this time. However, some show tickets are available at www.tvtickets.com, which is not affiliated with NBC.

That sounds reasonable. But he spews hate when he's in front of millions. He's like Standup Hitler... with a chin.

Who are watching exactly??? Geeez Leno is pretty cheesy yes but he is still a funny guy and entertaining. I, like PEJ, saw his stand up once for a smaller crowd and he was hilarious!!!

Hmmm. If Prince HAD to do something from Purple Rain, then do When Doves Cry for once. I'd love it if he did Let's Work.

i never get tired of hearing live versions of when doves cry ..shame he doesn't do that more than LGC and PR instead
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

As far as the late night war, Sarah Jessica Parker said it best -- "Jay is sweet, and Dave is smart."

Although I enjoy Letterman's comedy over Leno's, Prince has given great performances on both stages -- I loved the campy creepiness of "Dolphin" AND the jazzy jamming on "Dorothy Parker."

Looking forward to it.

What? Leno is truly a funny, warm-hearted person. I'm not sure you get his sense of humour. I'm not saying his humour is great or anything, but he's genuinely a nice guy.

funny story about that dolphin per4mance ...we had gotten newsletters about this per4mance and how prince wanted his fans 2 write slave on our faces and some us did. we were outside cause some of us didn't have tickets having a grand ole time playing his music etc..then we waited by the stage door 2 c him come out. everytime the door would open people would start screaming and kathy lee gifford came out thinking we were all out there 4 her, she was like "all these people out here 4 me!!" some screamed "FUCK NO WE AIN'T WAITING 4 U WE'RE WAITING ON PRINCE GET YO ASS OUTTA HERE!!"

then when prince came out he came out so quick people started mobbing the car he hopped in leaving mayte behind because they took off so quickly

I was there! biggrin I don't recall anyone saying that but I do recall everyone screaming "prince, prince" and the door opened and it was Cathy Lee...and the crowd was silent. lol that was funny. that was the first time I actually saw prince in the flesh...and I was in shock...like wow..he's a real person, not a character..ya know. ahhh fond memories! biggrin

Why not? Leno is the highest rated late night talk show. Wouldn't you want to do the show that has the most viewers?

Prince played on Letterman twice; once with Dolphin, where he dies, the second in 96, where he looked all sad, wore glasses and did Dinner With Delores on piano.

Jay seems to be good friends with p, since p has been on Jay at least nine times, doing 3 interviews--I think.

How do you know he won't do two songs one night? I think he will do an interview the first night, Bria will perform, do an interview on the second and on the third Prince will just play two songs. He should dominate all 3 shows, but that's just me. Hope to see my peeps stylin in the Audience. Somebody get an org sign. lol
