Which Prince Video is Your Favorite? Out of all of Prince's VIDEOS, which do you like the best for the content and visualization? | |

When Doves Cry... no contest.
And no, I'm not talking about the first 30 seconds where he's "in the nude" 
It dives into the movie and shows the exact same scenes that were shown while this song was played, when it was played. Not entirely original, but it becomes so much more than that. When him & the Revolution break into that psychedelic room with the mirror-image special effects, phew.... they don't make 'em like that anymore. The instrumental break has some brilliant visuals throughout that help paint a picture of where Prince got the inspiration for such a song. The musical genius at his best with the best visual/special effects EVER  had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

I Wish U Heaven is probably my favorite video...
Other favorites would be Automatic, Partyman, When Doves Cry (and DreamyPop, they DO make 'em EXACTLY like that nowadays---check out Snoop Dogg's new "Sensual Seduction" video), Raspberry Beret, Controversy, and Dirty Mind |

the first coupla seconds of that video...I can't watch it. I always look away or cover my eyes. It might be too much for me. Maybe because it looks like he's nekkid.

A couple of years ago, I watched this video as part of a school paper I was writing about Prince's spiritual utopias (a paper I will soon be revising, hopefully for publication in a scholarly journal)... and was shocked to (re)discover what a fam I was. It really touched me, so I forced myself to watch it about 12 times, until I got it out of my system and could actually view it objectively.
It was hard though.  | |

Kiss is probably his best. When Doves Cry is fantastic but I'd love to see the choreography without the mirror effect.
Other favourites would be Girls & Boys and Mountains and the beginning of Partyman kicks all sorts of ass | |
