You can forget about the Old Prince coming back. I've been hoping the Old Prince would come back since 1985 and he never has. The Old Prince died after "Purple Rain".....unfortunately.

What has remained since then has been strictly a modern reincarnation of Prince's childhood heros such as James Brown. I buy the music because I like James Brown and a lot of Prince's childhood heros but I'd rather have Prince himself back. Cold, hard, futuristic Prince. The Prince that had synthy jams with no horns like "Head", "Let's Work", "Lady Cab Driver", "Automatic", "I Wanna Be Your Lover", "Controversy", "Dirty Mind", etc. The Prince that said "It's time for a new direction, it's time for jazz to die". Beginning in 1985, that Prince was dead.

I thought I'd get a post in while I still can. Prince is right to try to battle bootlegging, but dead ass wrong with the way he's going about it by attacking sites like the Org who have been trying to help him and have removed links and posts that suggest where a track could be "snaggified".

This b-rate b-side sounding "pfunk" track in no way does anything to make me want to spend another dime on Prince. It is interesting to see him responding so quickly, but I don't get what it is he's trying to say. Does Prince think he's going to beat the net? I wish he'd stop wasting his life on these legal battles and produce some music at the level he did in 81-84 and if that's not possible, at least put out a record with the energy he displayed at the Super Bowl.

I do love his music and have done so since 1984. I do not have a clear understand on the whole copyright issue,but I do under the constatution and my right to speak my mind. I do agree that one anyone should get CREDIT for the work they do.I have been into his music since 1984 and will probally continue to do so.I havve been riticuled several times because I was not up tp date on all aspects of his persona life, or his music, I have two kids to raise. But, their is one thing we are all over looking in this situation. Their is one man that got a lot of people to stand up, They are from different countries, different races. They are different age religions, and have different poiints of view. He ( Prince) got them all to unite for one cause, that is amazing and if I am correct that is a goal is have always wanted to acheive.He has tough us all something, if we all united and put our diffenences aside, the world would be a better place. That in itself is truely and amazing thing, that no one else ( uniting us all ), has been able to do.That should be worth more to him than any amout of credit, awards, houses cars, money he would ever get in his life time.

I first want to point out one thing. I respect any one person's choice. I may not agree, but still have respect for any opinions, choices any one person makes. I have no right to judge or tell any one person what to think , do or feel.That is some thing that I tried to enstill in both my children. That difference, and choices of others should be respected. That is God made us all the same, this world would be pretty boring.. That we all have right to be indaviduals.That choices, feeling opinions are like eyes, ears noses. We all them. As a single parent it is my job to set the exaple. I may not agree, but will stand up state my case for what I BLEEIVE. As a mother with biracial children and the battels i face going agaist what others feel is wrong I can relate.I have no right to tell anyone what to do or bully anyone to my wishes way of thinking.

I have done some real thinking on the whole Prince lawsuit thing. I think one thing is that there is no telling where this will really end.I think one problem is that some people will be ordered to take backgrounds pics from their myspace pages, and told what comments they can, can't make to their friends. I myself have none of his pics,( my page is not a dedacation to him), on my page,unless they are comments my friends sent.I do respect those that have such things on their pages. I feel that a myspace page is a reflection of who a person is, what right do I anyone have to tell anyone what to put on their page I respect that ist is self expression and a way of paying tribute to him. But I have heard him ,read enough interviews to understand one thing. He would rather tribute be paid to whatever higher power you beleive in..I have a few songs will remove them from my page,and took of the vidoe I had long ago.That is something I thought long about. That is only because at some point I feel that is what is next. I would rather take them off my choice, then be ordered or have them removed for me, or possablly have my page deleted. I am a 34 year old woman grown, and no one tells me what to do. I wonder what is next, will the blind school, unicorns, wolves fairies, my kids try to file suit order me to remove such pics from my page. I do want to state no I do not agree with puttting violence, and kind or sexually abuse on a page is wrong, or the child molesters that use myspace.

If my kids can also be influenced by his music to never give up, and stand up for what you feel is right, to have love and respect everyone inspite of their differences. That voilence and taking up arms is not always the answer.That peace, love and compassion,equality are the way.That we should always not be judgemental of others. I am as a mother all for that all for it.That is something he is taking away.


The thing that bothers me is he has spoken out against saying one thing and doing another, that is exactly what he is doing now. He states during talk show T.V. interviews, parents bringing kids to his show, he wants them to see and learn. Then he or someone on his payroll take issue with a mother posting a video of her child dancing to his music.That is just cruel, and he should apologize publicly to the mother and her son. He He most likely never even saw the video.Then what is next no vidoes are allowed to be shown of anyone singing , dancing to any music at allwill be allowed to be posted. That is taking the right of any musican. That myspace youtube will ban such videos because they don't want a lawsuit.A parent will not be allowed to show a video of their kid sing Twinkle Twinkle. Little Star. That seems hypocritical. as well as being a bully. That is just something I have no stomache for. I do not want my kids learning that from him or anyone.There is enough cruelty and dictatorship in this world as it is.I wonder if I posted videos my my kids dancing or singing to to his music, or anyone else's could I be sued? I do not have the right as a parent to post such videos of my childdren. I hate to break it to Prince that is cencership.It is just like throwing a match in a can of gasoline. If before all this started and I could afford to go to one of his show. I would not be disrespectful and take pics, respecting his wishes by not doing so respect, defend his right to say when and where his pic is taken.I do not agree with him basically saying that ANYONE who has EVER had a picture taken with him they have no voice. He is taking away theirr right to have these pictures being shown The Twinz hower, can post what they want. I can't show a picture taken with him or my kids ( no I do not have one), but the Twinz canThen don't stand sing on any stage and preach, sing about equal rights..He is also saying who can and can't show pictures taken with him.In his fight for creative CONTROL, he is infringing on the rights of others.

If he realesed a new cd tomrrow I would not scrape up the money, walk the three miles across town to buy it.The way I did to Wal-Mart when Planet Earth came out. I would not scrape up the funds to go to a show at this point, or go around trying to arrenge a two hour drive to Indianapolis I don't even think I will even bother viewing the 3121 website, I am just too discusted. .But, I am just one person, who is deeply upset by his actions, as a fan and as a parent, but he doen not care in the least what I think..The whole ego thing is just too much, that is what this is really all about. The fact his ego has gotten so big that he can be so controling and get away with it. He said it himself he doesn' care what people say ( take up a collection for a lawyer for me),think, or his fans. He only thing he cares about is that we stand in line handing out money to him.There is need for a statement he made it already. I got the point Prince, your fans are like your children, and we are all grounded and are being set to our rooms.
