It's really simple for me. If he wants my money then he should respect me. There are tons of more artists that I love, some of who I've met, that are truly aware and respectful of their fans. Well, I guess I'm in the minority here...I don't really care about this feud with fan websites. I've got all the Prince songs and videos I've ever wanted. I mostly want to here about new albums and concert updates.

I got over being so into Prince's personal life and his personality a long time ago. If he wants to be a jerk, he can go right on ahead. He has to answer for his own actions in life. All I care about is when he's going to tour the US again, and I don't mean expensive, out of the way, small venues.

And I liked the song.

How people can get so beside themselves about about these little things is beyond comprehension.

I'm also a DJ, and i won't be playing Prince in any of my sets.

Take a look at what he's really done...

Taken the likeness and name from PFU in a direct manner that mirrors whats going on with the copyright infringement. He then makes a song from it in which the lyrics seem to be a response to what's going on as opposed to coming out with a statement or some sort of explaination for what's really going on. And the song practically spits in the eyes of the last 3 albums.

It's certainly a very bold statement. And it seems like a nice gesture. But he needs to make amends.

Y'all are trippin. Like he says, when it's all said and done, it's about the music. Whatever prompted him to write PFUnk, I wish it were elevated 10x!!

I'm more amazed by the level of anger he's elicited from a fan base that's almost as old as he is. I'd expect this backlash from, say, a Justin Timberlake site, but damn...it's all about the funk when it's all said and done, and that's what I hear when I listen to PFUnk.
