Ok, Prince's people.....so just in case the USA wins and you guys sit down at a meeting to decide just which city on the East Coast you would want to have a show.... and you just happen to decide..."Hey, how about New York City?"....and everyone agrees....that means you will have fans/fams from New Jersey, Upstate New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Long Island, NY (Nassau & Suffolk Counties), Boston, Virginia, Delaware, North and South Carolinas, Baltimore, Maryland...would more than likely make their way in this direction. So although Prince has played at the "The World's Most Famous Arena"....located in Manhattan on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Street...here's some info to refresh your memories on it: MADISON SQUARE GARDENS ARENA in NYC..... Owner: Cablevision (through Madison Square Garden L.P.) Operator: Cablevision.... The World's Most Famous Arena<--yes very true<---. is located in Manhattan on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Street, 4 Pennsylvania Avenue.."For Concerts the arena holds 20,000 center stage, 19,522 end-stage. The arena features 20,976 square feet (1949 m²) of arena floor space ----- ....OR.... if you decide to do an aftershow or prefer performances for several nights in a smaller venue.....well look what we have here!....."The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden"(see pic below)....yes you guessed it!...a nice intimate venue that can hold plenty, with seating! and with NYC being so big and all, this smaller theatre is located inside of Madison Square Gardens and can hold from 2,000 to 5600 people!.... The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden: "The Theater at Madison Square Garden is an intimate venue.. in which the last row is only 177 feet from Center Stage...<--(wow)...Also located in the heart of Manhattan on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, Ideal for special events seating. It seats between 2,000 and 5,600 for concerts..The space "formerly known as"(<-no pun intended of course ) the Theater at Madison Square Garden, formerly known as the Paramount Theater and even more formerly as the Felt Forum, will now be known as "The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Gardens""<<---- Wow, now isn't that great?! ...and even if the USA doesn't win, down the road, these are still 2 venues you can think about setting up shows at.....'kay? . ] [Edited 11/2/07 22:40pm]

Hi there (from Paris) ! We are broke too, spent all our money on the (fantastic) 21 nights in London tour (specially the final night, had to buy everything on ebay - show+aftershow - + train tickets & co _ very expensive - worth it, but still, we deserve a little extra). All this to tell you that his fans in Paris are VERY VERY (etc.) devoted, and we haven't seen him for years (dare not count anymore) in France. So I really think we deserve to have him back for a few nights. Really lov him, you know. You have Paisley Park near home, haven't you ? Cheers. I was there for the last three shows and it was great but I'd rather see him in a small venue again like Vegas or LA, anywhere in the US. And considering the low value of the US dollar now, I need the lil purple man to get his booty back stateside ASAP.

Well, the East Coast gave major support at the GMAs and Vegas...so I just figured NYC, DC, Maryland, New Jersey, Philly, etc., etc., has been very good to the Purple One, and he and his band can just pack it up and have fun in NYC for a while and visit the other East Coast cities, if they so choose to do so of course, we won't hurt them.. Besides, we have plenty of delicious restaurants here so they won't go hungry. .. and like Robert Randolph says "Ain't Nothing Wrong With that!"...but we shall see how it all turns out..if Paris wins, no hard feelings, may the best one win, but they have to.. --> (j/k..just all in fun) woo hoo!! Yes, but that's just it, the message said "Where 2 Next?" It "never" said they weren't going to any of the 5 mentioned, just basically asking which one should they go to "next" and asked us to help them decide by voting...so ya never know what they plan to do next.
