C'mon Dutch peeps, vote! It's been almost 6 years now...

Only 20% for Holland omg
VOTE FOR HOLLAND fro

I live in the UK but my brother lives in Den Haag, so I would love Prince to tour in Holland. The thought of seeing him at great venues like the Paradiso or the historic, Paard van Troje (Small Club) is exciting. But we Europeans have to get clever here and realise that the only sensible thing to do is to vote for Paris! So it will cost me an arm and a leg to get there. Still cheaper that the US!

cool

That's seems to be the only reason Paris is ahead, because they have most of Europe voting for Paris. Plus he just did London and a lot of fans from all over Europe went to London.

The US just basically has itself in the voting process and maybe Canadians voting with them. But no hard feelings if they go to Paris first, then the US fans will have time to save money if they decided to do America last and end the last leg of the tour in his home country.

urm... i don't know when the poll was first started. But only 8200 votes! Surely there are more prince concert-goers than that!
And why are Paris and Rome named... shouldn't it be France and Italy?
If the SHOE video was filmed in Italy, perhaps he was there finding venues...
Come back to Europe, Prince... we're missing you - it's been a while lol
We ain't from Hollywood, so you know it's all good

Okkkaay, my comment was on a joking/teasing level, and apparently that whole contest thing seems to really have nothing to do with European fans vs American fans by whose more motivated or which country/continent he likes better, since most of us don't know him or can think for him..lol

I doubt seriously if Prince favors one over the other, but I do believe as a musician/artist as well as any major artist, that he appreciates his fans from all over the world period. We don't need the division thing going on, a Prince fan is a Prince fan, so let's just enjoy the voting process and have fun with it, and if he makes it to your side of the world before the US, then that's great, wonderful and terrific, doesn't mean the US won't have a chance to see him perform. He has been in the US throughout 2006 and many of us, including myself, have seen him perform more than 7 times between 2006 -2007 in less than a year's time, so many US fans pretty much did get to see him and his band perform a lot within the past year. Anyway, I wish the Paris, Australian and Holland fans good luck and well wishes that they get to see him perform soon. biggrin

This exercise has absolutely no legitimacy unless there's a cut-off date for voting. Otherwise, Prince and his camp can simply wait until they see the desired (i.e., pre-determined) result and then announce that the fans have actually made the decision.

there needs to be a weighted balance to this.

for starters there are about 50 million people living in France, as well as the neighboring countries (like UK, Spain, etc) will make up say, another 100-150 million. The US has 250 million!! Whereas, Australia has a population of less than 20 million and no one from its neighbors Indonesia or New Zealand) Will likely make an impact on the votes.. So this should be weighted, if so, Austrlia should be right up there!

Also, he hasnt been to Oz since 1992, hes been to London recently (so easy for Parisians and Dutch, etc to get to), whilst he has recently played a spate of shows in the US, so even for fairness sake, it should go to Oz.
