PrintableShadeoViolet you have a great ear for music . I have also noticed prince is a fake in another song. In the opening of the song "Free" the marching soliders sound in the beginning sounds very similar to the marching done by 54th volunteer infantry in the civil war
this thread is such bull shit. I have noticed other songs by prince that either are blend of other songs from other artist or have the same base line. Its called having ears and writing music. You can't help but be influnced by a sound you hear. That doesn't make you any less creative or original in your work. And to say he's a fake and oh lord i am thru with prince has got to be the most F$%^&ing dumbest thing that has ever been posted. off the top of the dome I can think of a couple of Prince songs which are similar to other songs. Beginning base line of "nothing compares to you" and the base line throughout Berline song "take my breath away" Future babye mamma is a blend of the two Dionne Warrick songs "de ja vu" and "do you know the way to sanhueza" You can't help but be subconsiously influenced by what you hear, especially if your a very creative person. Doesn't mean its not an original song. Its like prince hearing the ultrasound of his son and it sparked the idea for "sex in the summer". does that mean he's a fake because he took the song from his son. maybe the people that actually make the ultrasound machine can sue prince for rights to the song. Hold up! MICHAEL JACKSON COPIED PRINCE! What do you think that "Bad" image was all about it was to compete with Prince who had already established it with Purple Rain. Dirty Diana was nothing more than an outdated tame version of Darling Nikki. Who lightened his skin and became even more androgynous to look like Prince?
