Don't believe me? Listen for yourself. If you need me to send you Michael Jackson's outtake, I'll gladly do so..

That is all. For now..

wait I found the outake on youtube with a slapped on video of some other thing, but it doesn't sound the same... lemme check at that exact time.

I don't hear a part that sounds like a match... send me the outtake you have

Prince is wearing one of MJ's tuxedo shirts from "Off The Wall" on the "Controversy" CD.

"Life Of The Party" was the title of a song on the "Dancing Machine" CD.

Prince went after MJ's sloppy seconds dating that "The Way You Make Me Feel" lady and recording with Sheryl Crow.

MJ uh, married Elvis' daughter. Prince dated Marvin's daughter.

In the latest MJ bio it quotes MJ as calling Prince a "copycat".

But MJ ended up with a Prince-ish complexion and a Luxsexy/Graffiti wig so it all balances out.

Drumbeat at the beginning on MJ's "Money" is almost identical to the beginning of "Mountains".

And George Michael stole everything from Andrew Ridgeley so there!

=D

It honestly sounds like someone pasted it right on to the end of the song..the more I hear it..so yeah...

This is all kind of funny but, if you actually listen to the outtake, all very strange. Who would do this kind of thing?

Prince a copycat? If that were the case, the careers would have followed an identical path. IF anything, musically Superfly Sister sounds like Erotic City (with a faster tempo).

Prince borrowed more from Sly/Hendrix in regards to fashion and musically, went all over the map. If he is a copycat, he has had a damn good career and if MJ ALLEGEDLY said what he said, then dude is reallly out of touch with reality.

Ultimately, they both owe everything to

She Got It is an outtake attributed to Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album..91-92 ish.

So, the evidence is suggesting some kid did this for kicks? But still..why??

This is just something I noticed from a good friend who, again, happens to be an MJ-addict. She found the site (doodoofan), downloaded the song, let me listen, and hence this comical/serious thread. razz

What's comical is the sensationalism I brought to it. What isn't is the jackass who decided to mix in Prince's chords...

Why on earth would this happen? Why would this guy do this???

Who cares?

I've also heard the exact same drum beat from "Release It" in more than two songs since Grafitti Bridge came out. Can't remember the songs, though...

Also, and this is digging REAL deep, but...

On the Time's album Pandemonium, there's a part where Morris is singing "Kansas City, Kansas City here I come..." Well, in the background there are crickets chirping and an owl hooting. I heard that SAME EXACT background on a cartoon on some Saturday morning show. It must have been some kind of stock sound effect.

Point is... who cares?

Yes, this was noted early on in the thread, but seems the only people who noticed were me and ShadeoViolet - the question is, why? It is clear, to anyone who actually bothered to go and listen to the outtake, that there is a strange anomaly going on. Why is a section of a 2003 Prince track drafted on to a 1991 MJ outtake? Cos, even after I'd mentioned how it is EXACT, and not just the beat, but the bass line, the guitar sratch, the guitar lead - EVERYTHING is exactly the same - people still went off in to dismissive missive about "similarity" etc - no, you didn't listen - it has been sampled. Most of you cannot have listened, as it would have struck you so obviously too. So many "artists have always copied other artists" comments - er, NO, this is not like how many early 90's songs were produced around the beat from SoulIISoul's "Keep on Movin'" (100s!!) this is different. This is 2 songs recored at least 12 years apart that have exactly the same lick (for 30 seconds) in them.

But why would somebody so cheaply draft a little of ICPC over an MJ outtake and not even mention as to why, or claim it as a "re-mix" (laughable as that may seem)??? Its as though whoever did it, wants you to think Jackson was capable of such funkage! (and overlayed on such a piece of shit anyway - its sacrelige!)

Violet was chilled - just thought it was funny/weird, as do I. Blimey, does humour not belong on the org?

THANK YOU. My God. PEOPLE, LIGHTEN UP!!!! Wow, God bless you Mindflux. We are on the same exact page. This is weird as all get out, and, if you'd actually bother to actually hear the cut, you would realize what all the fuss is about..

I'm totally calm here. Half of this was a joke anyway. Over-sensationalism. Just RELAX y'all. Yeesh. I still like Prince. Shut up already, damn. razz

(And yes, It was kind of bastardly to make such a "serious thread", but still..lighten up. Its a clear paste job, the question is... why the hell was it done?? What's the motivation? Basically...what the (d)uck is going on here?

Oh and i just wanted yall to know that the little riff is in fact identical to illusion coma...
Because its a sample that is often given in alot of samplers
i have the exact same sample in my libraries...

but... upon further anylization...
Those guitars are panned the same way...
and they sound exactly alike...
too alike
it sounds like princes playing matter of factly...

Now if i recall Prince presumably sent MJ alot of demos... back in the day...
I don't think any theivery is going on
the guitar style playing is too alike
only difference is coma is more prescise
and she got it is a little more messy but its a demo... thats too be expected...
Its simply illogical that prince would steal the song because the song isnt that strong...
which is why MJ rejected it from the track list...
I have a sneaking suspician this might be one of the many demos Prince sent MJ
its more logical that way because prince is known for taking material from his archives and redoing them
Musicology is good example of that because alot of people have said that on that paticular album that certain songs sound like parts of other bootlegged Prince songs taht have never been released...

you guys aren't listening... it is "Illusion Coma" mixed in at that part. Not a sample, it is the song mixed in with Prince's funk guitar parts. It's the part after the lyrics where Prince just plays for a while.
