We are stepping into new territory with the online piracy, and eventually there will be parameters and guidelines to protect artists. For now Prince will have to make the first move. A very smart move. He wants control of his music and videos. Very smart. The music industry has to catch up to the internet eventually. Prince will set the standard for others to follow. Thank You! That's his failing. You can't control the internet. You're better exploiting it for what you can. When will he learn that exposure of his material on these sites is a very cheap form of promotion. Don't want crappy copies of your videos on YouTube? Fine, well how about putting your money where your mouth is and putting a half-decent compilation out there. Or something more than the 2 videos we have on Uk iTunes. P, if you aint gonna provide it, we're going to go elsewhere. But hey, guess what? Doesn't stop us buying everything you put out. Go figure. this is the digital age, where as soon as something gets dropped, it will pop up somewhere else hmmm ok how do we ask him as we cant post on 3121 and a lot of people have said ' wish i could see so and so video but where' and with the poparity of the video vault of HQ now gone there is no wheer left to see them unless Prince releases them. PRINCE PLEASE PLEASE LET THE FANS (YOUR FANS) SEE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS PLEASE YAY for Prince for sticking up for himself but i agree with you L4OATheOriginal and oldpurple how are we meant to see his vids then?? i think it would be great if he put his videos on his website (it would probably get more traffic) and it would be also nice if he established the store on his website like they had been advertising earlier this summer. i mean what ever happened to that?? so i propose that he place his videos and store on his website. then people can still see them and buy his merchnadise and he wouldnt have to worry about people selling his merchandise on ebay and posting his music videos on youtube. there you go..problem solved! Thank you very much! Peace, Love, and some Purple Rain!!

All I can say is I'm tired of this crap. Every time I turn around I hear about Prince and his high and mighty I wanna rule the world and make everyone do as I say attitude. I would think someone with his influence would have better things to worry about than things people do that don't hurt anyone. He's still making millions and file sharing has been around for plenty of years. Sure lets sell out numerous concerts for a whole month, sell expensive shirts and memorabilia and complain because file sharing is hurting you. Bah what a crock of S---. When the bridge collapsed in his own hometown I didn't hear anything on his website about How much he really care's. How much he really want's to help the world. I think maybe he should shut the hell up, and I'm going to continue to "Free the music" as long as I live. He sure cry's about allot of things, but I fail to see him helping people with his money. Stop whining and focus on the real issue you freaking evil cricket....
And yas I have been a Prince fan since the 80's so please don't act like I'm here to be a flamer but I honestly have been losing allot of respect for the man.

But that's only the beginning... Using nano-fleshbot cameras that are currently under development by our nanoblokes, we plan to infest Prince with up to one gillion of our pin-sharp autofocus camera-insects, all of them relaying live footage via YouTubeTM. Well, Prince is notorious for not having good people around him. He doesn't want people that will tell him the truth, he wants people that agree with everything he says/thinks. http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts

I do too! Self appointed internet police! WTF??? I think they're nothing more than a freaking scare tactic imposed by the record industry as a last ditch effort to tame the internet! I say boycott all those bitch asses!! Now some ding-a-ling in Prince's camp has tied his name to them to give them relevance! Prince himself, probably has never even freaking heard of them!

Prince is going to waste precious time TRYING to sue youtube, ebay, and pirate bay because he doesn't want us to watch or post his videos instead of using the internet and 3121.com to his advantage! As much as I love Prince and I do! I've said it before, him and his camp really need a dose of what life would be like WITHOUT us, all of US!! US being the fans that supported him BEFORE his yesmen and asskissers jumped on board, the ones who supported him through the times when mainstream wouldn't have anything to do with him!! His camp is in serious need of a REALITY check! We've tolerated their special brand of nonsense for far too long! We are all enablers and it's time for an intervention!! As long as we keep taking it, they're going to keep dishing it! Apparently, his camp doesn't WANT him to have our support! So, why keep giving it to him? Maybe, when he sees that his yesmen and asskissers don't have his best interest at heart, he'll start taking his real supporters, US, his fans seriously! If he doesn't appreciate US, WHY on Earth should WE keep appreciating him? Prince is totally out of touch and we continue to put up with his BS. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

I must make a confession and say that Prince has always neglected to release his greatest works officially. He has always chosen to submit the more popular songs/tunes for public release. If it were not for bootlegs, I would never know the true genius of Prince. I/We would never have heard "The Undertaker" just to name one amongst many bootlegs. In fact, if Warner Brothers hadn't had control over the Black Album, we may not have ever heard it in it's entirety or with such studio clarity. This is why I do not frown on bootlegs or those who sell and by them. In fact, I think that Prince's popularity and fame has profited from bootlegs. How many times has he performed in concert and fans in the audience sang along to songs that have NEVER been released? Trust me, Prince's fan base has increased as a result of bootlegs and he realizes this. Now he want's to hurt his fans? This is not right. I have always and always will be in his corner, but I have to call out wrong when I see wrong. As a man who choses to lift up the TRUTH, Prince needs to acknowledge the TRUTH. It's A Real Mother For Ya

I love how when shit goes down, Prince is always some uninformed 3rd party to the proceedings. I want to thank Websheriff, for they are doing us a huge favor. The funny thing is, Websheriff know all about how impossible it is to shut down a site liek piratebay, they have experience and gave up trying for some other clients in good humor (checkout thepiratebay.org/legal). Yet, some clever dick convinced Prince to sink money and credibility into trying to shut down thepiratebay. I don't say this often, but : LOLOLOLOLOLOL So here is where we owe Websheriff a thankyou note : after these latest legal efforts fail in a semi high profile manner, how will people and press respond if he decides to go after the HQs of this world once more. Prince cannot ever go after us fans again, and maintain any type of credibility at the same time. So thankyou Sheriff, well done! Hmm...Prince's 'internet police' on dateline???

Chris Hanson: So tell me what a Prince fan like you doing here with Prince bootlegs? You drove two hours to do a 10 for 10?? Reggie: I just came here to trade man!! Chris Hanson: Ohh wait, Thats not what it looks like to me. It looks to me you are stealing intellectual property! I will read your chat about that dvd boot from the 1985 Atlanta show. Reggie: No man it was just a trade man. I know what happens next. bye.. Reggie walks out door.. Morris and Jerome: Paisley Park Police!! Get on the ground mother fucker..throw down 'the dawn' and those god awful 1992 crappy quality audience shot shit dvds. Update: They found dirty mind torrents and purple rain outtakes on his computer at home. And in his car '1999 the new masters' and a bunch of Larry Graham cds. He will do 5 years for that and face embarrasement from friends and family that see the show. [Edited 9/14/07 13:52pm]

On a side note, Prince's ethnic cleansing of the internet had no effect in my ability to download an o2 Aftershow. That cover of "Let's Go" is slammin'! Free music is good because it allows the regular 9 to 5 working people to still save money for more important things -- like food and rent, whilte letting them experience some pleasure, so they don't get fed up enough that they'll actually go and murder people.
I think the internet has made copyright and intellectual property obsolete, and I am thankful for it. Power to the people. Not corporations. Not musical artists. But to the people to overrun the earth. That's the future. "Don't you think one of the charms of marriage is that it makes deception a necessity for both parties?"
