I haven't heard "Planet Earth" yet but I guarantee you I will like it more than the bird-chirping noises passed off as "Future Sex/Lovesounds".

Planet Earth wins hands down. At least it has some variety and is Prince's own music, unlike JTs repetitive crap. He so wishes he was Prince, it's really sad.

Ah, daring thread.

Honest?

I think Futuresex has got the SONGS I will be playing for a long time from now, while Planet Earth works better as an album, but lacks longevity.

I think that's interesting to compare Prince's last work with the most Prince influenced album ever made.

Many people did the same thing with Invincible and Justified.

i think comparing music takes the whole fun out of enjoying a song or an album for its own being smile

Did you ever listen to anything by N*E*R*D?

By any chance? Or anything by Janet Jackson in the 80's? Or Lenny Kravitz?

To be honest, I just find smallish references to Prince's music, even though he cited Prince as an influence on this album and had some Prince old skoolers in his live band.

The title song sounds like something Prince should have done and most fams dislike Justin for this; that's why they are so overly (and childishly) over-aggressive.

And prejudiced, cuz he was in a (shock! horror!) boy-band.

Anyways. Trying to say; apples. Pears. Nothing remotely the same. Let's ALL have fun.

The Love Below, anyone?

and back to the topic at hand - i wish P could make a hit single that'd be as captivating as What Goes Around...Comes Back Around.

Oh gawd, I think that song is just plain ANNOYING. I tried to listen to it and watch the video, but it just grated my nerves too much. I don't like his voice at all and don't get the adoration for him

My dislike of JT has nothing to do with Prince at all, I think he's just a over-hyped Mickey Mouse boy. He and Britney are on the same low rung of the ladder for me.

are you crazy?!

future sex/lovesounds was manufactured by the business and isn't that intimate. sure it's catchy and has good poppy stuff, but planet earth (and i guess anything else Prince did) is art that he crafted and made himself.

Are you serious? 2 different CD's that have nothing to do with each other. Unbelievable. disbelief
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

With questions like these, it is no wonder why we don't get as much as we could get from Prince.

Like I said in another thread, even the tip of Justin's perpetually flaccid penis couldn't touch Prince on Planet Earth.

I'm not gonna lie, I hate JT. I've been hatin since Justified.

When JT released Justified, I hated it more than anything. I've become the biggest JT hater.

But I didn't hate Justified because it was bad, I hated it because I liked it. I hated it because I expected MJ to do an album more or less like Justified.
Justified (which was blatantly influenced by Michael Jackson's early stuff) outshined Michael Jackson's last effort by miles. And it's painful to say that but that's the true.

Of course JT sucks, he's not talented, and he's not even an acceptable singer. This guy sucks.

But I'm not gonna lie. His music is definitely not bad. And I'm really feelin some of his stuff.

I was waiting for the next Prince album. And I'm not gonna lie, I downloaded it, and after taken one listen I deleted it.

I love Prince, but Future sex love sounds is better than Planet earth. And when I said future sex love songs is better, I don't mean JT is better than Prince. Of course he's not. What I said is Timbaland's work on Timberlake's effort is better than P on Planet Earth. And there's nothing wrong to admit that.

Justin will always be a piece of shit artist, but the production on his first two solos are very good.

I'm a big Prince fan and I love Future Sex/Lovesounds. I don't think I would enjoy the album if it wasn't for Timbaland's production. You can tell when he produces a song. It's very different. I don't get caught up in petty shit like imaginary feuds between two artists. I like what I like.

I friggin' hate Bimbofake but damn some of those songs are good.

The end of lovestoned, my love, the title track and even sexyback are all strong songs.

But I could never listen to them as many times as I will no doubt listen to future baby mama or somewhere here on earth.

JT's music is hot right now, but lets see how it ages.

Puhleeese..... I never heard JTs record no interest at all. This is not who someone with Princes range and resume should be compared too.

It is quite possible that JTs R&B/Hip Hop flavored Pop might be catchier than Prince's right now but Prince is 20 years beyond that and also was never tied to one genre anyway.

It is also possible that if JT was almost 50 years old and put out dozens of albums and put out this same "Future Sex" album, people would also greet it with the same shrug that meets most of Prince's recent efforts.

What we do know is that JT will most likely NOT go down as one THE artists of his generation. Its like comparing Micheal Jordan during his later years with a 2nd year player who shoots real nice but cant play D nor run the floor.
