lol. i think it's about time for a 3121.com update

prince is always the last to report his own stuff.

lol

You know Prince. rolleyes He'll be announcing it on the day with one of those electioneering megaphones above his tour bus. lol

And will you be coming to see these concerts?? batting eyes smile

lol. plural even! i don't really know if i can make it. i would love to,
but it's probably a lot of money just for the tix, let alone the journey
and the extra cash i'd like to spend on the trip (tequilla not included)

so 1 concert might be something i could, perhaps, somehow, maybe manage

lol

if you'd like to go see all those shows in a row, i think i might have
to go out and buy a new mini skirt and go turn some tricks

I wouldn't get your hopes up about taking your 9 year old daughter, there may well be an age limit, especially if it turns out Prince is playing the smaller 2000 capacity venue (there was an age limit in Vegas due to alcohol being served on the premises).

Man, on the one hand it's great he's coming back to the UK, but it is appaling the way O2 have organised this!
Forcing people to buy their phones just to get priority seats is just a disgusting money-making ploy.
This monopolization should be illegal.

I don't believe this is Prince's doing, he wants the true fans to get the best seats. It's probably his incompentant tour organisers.

I guess (reluctantly) I'm gonna have to buy the cheapest damn O2 phone I can find, and then maybe break it and send it back as damaged for a full refund!
(after I've got my ticket of course!!)

You can do a dry run with the Scisor Sisters priority tickets....I think its simply a promotional code.

But there is bound to be something like you have to bring your o2 phone with you to pick up the tickets on the door...just like you have to take your orange phone for ornage wednesdays

No different to the NPGMC giving priority seats or Controversy giving priority seats...O2 own the venue and,as Prince isnt doing anything from his end for teh fans, we just need to be grateful that there is ANY priority (this is from an NPGMC member who had shit seats at the back of ONA because teh crappy NPGMC website didnt recognise me).

Im not an O2 user but I'll give it ago as I have family members who are

Yeah, and hopefully you won't mess up things for everyone else in the future b/c you posted the password. I don't think you should have posted it. What's the point of having pre-sale tix if everyone can get the password (including scalpers). Who knows how many pre-sale tickets are available? I'm not in Europe, so I'm not worried, but if I were and had an O2 phone but couldn't get pre-sale tix because the password was posted on a website, I'd be pissed. Same thing when the old NPG sent out a pre-sale password for the first few 3121 Vegas shows.

But you don't need to buy an o2 phone, all you need is an o2 SIM card.Just get your current phone unblocked and put in the new o2 SIM. It only costs a few quid

I've been promising my 8 year old nephew that I will take him to see Prince for the last 3 years. But all the other events at the Indigo Bar are 18+. He will be SO disappointed. Prince isn't for "all the family" anymore, by the looks of it.

You don't even need to do that, I just went down the local park and mugged some little kid for his mobile phone, though after getting 2 vodafones and an orange I started asking the kids if they were on O2 before I stole their phones. lol

Why should an O2 customer have priority over a prince fan who has supported him their whole life? Just because someone is on a certain network does not mean they should get any priority over a vodafone customer.

What about the NPGMC members. Priority should be for those fans who joined his fanbase.

I do not agree with this process and will get the tickets by any other means. Friends who are on O2 should help the Prince fan community.

As NPGMC members we were all in the same situation.. Prince fans, going to a Prince concert.
Now it is a Prince fan, who happens to have an O2 network who gets priority ???

Oh lord, here we go with the "true fan" stuff again. So by your logic O2 customers aren't Prince fans who have "supported him their whole life"? If someone orgnotes you the password, that's their choice. I just think it's a bad idea to post it on a public website.

How would you feel if there was a password for vodafone customers and someone posted it for all to use. Then you, as a vodafone customer, logged on to get your pre-sale tickets....oops too bad, they're all gone because some scalper got the password from a website post. Now if you want tickets you'll have to pay twice as much to someone who (horror of horrors) may not even like Prince! omfg

Yes, I'm exaggerating a bit, but that's why people shouldn't post the password. Next time, there may not be a password for anyone....and that will suck for everyone.

Oh come on! The simple thing is, mobile network has NOTHING to do with ANY concert being held ANYWHERE. This priority thing is ridiculous. People getting a phone because of a concert? What? I really hope Prince wasn't talking about this at the NAACP award show:
>>>And I would just challenge the phone companies and the new digital providers to allow us to be the gatekeepers to stewart the new jazz renaissance hip hop and soul music in the 21st century rather then the accounts and lawyers who ruined the music industry this first time around. <<<

What exactly is wrong with a concert without a password? That wouldn't suck for me. That's how it almost always goes, and frankly, I'm quite fond of it!

Getting priority seats because you paid more. Fine!
Getting priority because you joined a fanclub. Fine!
Getting priority because you go to a certain hairdresser. Eat dirt!

I'm not saying I agree with the whole presale to O2 customers only - I don't. It's clearly unfair to Prince fans who happen to be on other networks.
As a member of the dearly departed NPGMC I agree that we are the ones who should have been given priority, but unfortunately it hasn't happened that way.

I have no problem with people giving their friends passwords if they are a fan, the point I was making is that a password should not be on a public forum as it makes a mockery of the whole presale process, just as it would if an NPGMC presale password was posted on an open forum.
