8th Grade. I heard "Soft and Wet" on my AM radio and was wondering what new girl group was singing this funky song. All the girls at school had these Prince bookcovers. (some of you know what I'm talking about). I wish I would have kept a few. Anyway, at the same time I was saying who is Prince? When the two came together, so did eye! | |

love I was 8 years old , I was obsessed with some other music then I went through a KISS phase only lasted few years. I bought My first Prince record 5 years later in 1983. | |

I was 6 so I wouldn't know of Prince for a while,
but I do remember STAR WARS, roller skating, the Blizzard of '78 (northeast), and for some reason at school in gym class the instructor would make us dance around to like the whole Greese soundtrack album for excercise  "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
