You know those democrats in Hollywood gotta keep sucking on Al Gore's toes. And, hate to burst the hate bubble, but the song is very nice--better then all the crap from 3121.

I don't think so because he did stand up and when Hugh Grant asked him to and he seemed very gratified about it.

Quick question: Beyoncé says: I was so inspired by my character. I wrote songs of the things I wish she would've said... blah, blah, blah. And this appears right b4 Listen. Then, why isn't she in the writing credits 4 the song? She did this once with Irreplaceable. I'm not hating. I'm just wondering. I read that the maximum number of writers that can be listed is four and she was the fifth. I'm not sure, but I think it's in order of their contribution, however they figure that out.

I hope I am proven wrong and it at least wins Best Animated film at the Oscars because as far as I can see it is the only nomination it received. Isn't Bindi Irwin big in the U.S at the moment, or is it just all the press we get down under? You'd think having Steve Irwin in the movie would make it popular (even if it is only a bit part). On the subject of Aussies,I havent seen any threads on Nicole Kidmans version of "kiss"(but i am still a newbie) Sorry, getting side tracked here Prince, even though you wont get an Oscar nod 4 "Song of the Heart", you still have the Oscar 4 Purple Rain.Much better having a Soundtrack oscar than a song one (IMHO) seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

Pixar films still start out using traditional 2-D hand-drawn images, then they make 3-D models, and then go to the computer to finish the animation. (I just learned this b/c Pixar is featured in an exhibition that I give tours on. ) Also, check out South African artist, William Kentridge. He makes short films out of charcoal drawings that he does on a single sheet of paper (instead of multiple 'cells'). He's not an animator, but his work is really fantastic. (I wrote my Master's Thesis on one of his films.) interesting... maybe that's why pixar's films are usually better than other CGI.

So I guess he won't be at the Oscars and then performing for a bunch of pampered stars later. I was wondering how "Dreamgirls" got 8 nods yet it was shut out of most of the big catogeries. Three nods for in one catogery...that says a lot about how useless the song catogery is if they are going to gloom on to a musical and nominate all of it's new songs! What the fuck is with Randy Newman? I never got that into MadTV but it always killed me when they made fun of him and those terrible songs!

She even dueted with MJ on I Just Can't Stop Loving You and I think she co-wrote Man in the Mirror, I know she sang on it. I'm glad to see she's still doing her thing. Chile my momma used to wear that track OUT! Love that song to death. Wow, nice to see she is still doing working it. "If the whole world buys your bullshit, I don't care."

even if he didn't get nominated, he already has an oscar. and he had Grammys (going to have more pretty soon!!!), a Golden Globe, and tons of other awards. all he needs is an Emmy and a Tony award and then he'll be complete. the whole she-bang. "So shall it be written, so shall it be sung..."

I believe that they didn't like the fact that an animated movie so directly tackled environmental and political issues. but Happy Feet was nominated for Best Animated Film...so, how is Hollywood shying away from it? And it received a Golden Globe nomination for best film as well. In fact, its even won Best Animated Film from the following organizations: Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards New York Film Critics Circle Awards Toronto Film Critics Association Awards Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Awards *and* it was nominated for a Producers Guild Award for Best Animated Film... so, how is Hollywood ignoring it? nope...oscar nom ballets were due way before the ggs. Shh! Don't say that. You're going to destroy every Prince fan's desperate belief that every commercial disappointment Prince experiences is due to record label conspiracies and politics. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Thankfully he didn't get a nomination for that song. The only thing worse than the song would've been a live performance of it. no, not really
