It seems as though those that are opposed to Song of the Heart don't realize this song was not intended to be on Prince's next album. This song was intended for an animated film. There are many other singers such as Elton and Celine who have done songs for films and are also completely unlike their pop material. Because that's the way it was intended. I mean for real, when you listened to Song of the Heart for the very first time, couldn't you tell this song was meant for a cartoon and not meant for his next album?
That's why Prince remains a versatile artist, able to record music for whatever purpose. | |
