Okay, I see we have two groups of people on this thread, those that are upset Prince is divorcing and those that are doing backward flips that he's divorcing.
Question: How many of you wouldn't mind jumping Prince's bones? I'm sure when many of you read Prince was divorcing, the question of "What is the probability of me getting with him now that he's soon to be single?" popped into your endorphin train of thoughts. Be honest it's just a fantasy. Question: Is Prince destined to be with one woman for a life time? From a relationships coach point of view, I doubt it. He has issues that stem from his childhood that he must let go to truly be happy in a monogamous relationship. Question: Do we really care about the other people in Prince's life? NOOOOO!!!!! It has always been about Prince and his music. Not the band. Not the women. Not the homes. Not the tadbloid news. The side dishes come and go, but Prince and his music are eternal.

I don't wanna jump his bones, I just want to enjoy his music, married, single, whatever he chooses.

Wow, what a shocking surprise!
It's been my belief that Prince has Little Man Syndrome. This is why he has to bed every woman he's around practically. It makes him feel more "manly". Laaaaame. I am willing to bet this is why she filed.

Well after reading all the interesting posts, I guess I will say that I am not surprised taking his past into consideration. I wonder if this latest situation had anything to do with NPGMC closing down, perhaps Prince did not want to be inundated with fans on his site questioning, pondering, and expressing their sympathy (sort of like what we are doing). Well even though I am not surprised I can't say that I take any joy out of this news. I'm sure that P will pull through this and his supporters will be there too, every step of the way. U want me to swivel in your love seat, don't

With the # of women he's been with, I'd need a clean bill of health from his physician and or health dept. P destined to be with one woman?... That's going to require work, commitment, compromise, dedication, focus, restraint, loyalty, on P's part.. might distract from the music. BUT, if he's content, that's what's important.

Prince's Marriage Ended Because Of Infatuation
July 28, 2006 7:16 a.m. EST Svjetlana Mlinarevic - All Headline News Contributor Los Angeles (BANG) - Prince's marriage has ended because of his infatuation with his new protege, it has been claimed. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the pop superstar and his wife, Manuela Testolini Nelson, were calling time on their relationship after five years of marriage. Prince's lawyer, Alan Eidsness, said that divorce papers for the couple were filed at Minnesota's Hennepin County District Court on May 24. So far, no official reason has been given for the split, but it has now been claimed that the union imploded because of the amount time Prince has been spending with his new act, Tamar. A source told the New York Post, "Prince has been spending an inordinate amount of time with his new protege. He is trying to get her signed with a major label and has her doing the rounds. Everyone takes the meeting because of Prince, but she's just a pretty girl singing Prince songs. It's not very good. He hasn't found a taker, but he is smitten with her." Prince, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, and Testolini tied the knot in 2001, in a romantic ceremony in Hawaii, with Testolini taking the 'Purple Rain' singer's little known last name. It is star's second failed marriage. He was previously married to backup singer and dancer Mayte Garcia but their union was annulled in 1998. So far, representatives for Prince and Testolini have refused to comment on the couple's split. Angels, love and light,

Prince's Wife Files For Divorce
Written by West Brown Friday, 28 July 2006 Although his latest album, 3121, hit a home run, Prince, 48, has struck out again in the marriage department. According to People magazine, Prince's wife, 29 year-old Manuela Testolini Nelson filed for a divorce on May 24 in the artist's home state of Minnesota. "His wife filed for divorce. This isnβt something that he wanted," said Prince's lawyer, Patrick Cousins. "There isn't anything else. He didn't counter sue. He is just trying to get it resolved.β The couple were married for five years and have no children together. Prince, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, met his soon to be ex-wife when she was an employee of his charitable foundation. "Deciding to end the marriage was a very difficult decision for Ms. Nelson," says her attorney, Edward Winer. "She is seeking a cooperative resolution of this case and hopes the proceeding will be resolved quickly and respectfully. Ms. Nelson continues to be focused on her charitable work and her business, which remain her top priority." Prince was previously in a publicly scrutinized marriage to singer and dancer Mayte Garcia for two years before their union was annulled in 1998. Angels, love and light,

Prince Is Divorcing... Again
Now that he is back in the business, it seems Prince has a new problem on his agenda and that is divorcing from his wife Manuela. On Wednesday a Hennepin County court document confirmed that Manuela had filed for divorce on May 24. Like everybody already knows Prince likes the sweet, pretty and young women, but unfortunately for him, he does not know how to keep them by his side. "As far as we know, it's not true. Manuela is leaving for vacation for the next month. A nice long vacation out of the country, actually", said Jessica Pollack of Alison Brod Public Relations late on Wednesday. Manuela had hired the layer Edward Winer and with this said it is very possible that she will take a lot of extras from Prince. Now the strange thing about all this is, that Manuela, who actually became a pen-pal with a reporter from 'Star Tribune', has him helping her in divorcing and making bad publicity for her future ex. Then, he [the pen-pal reporter] starts receiving notes from Pollack: "As you already know, Manuela is a separate entity from her husband, Prince, and is doing some amazing work with her company Gamillah, Inc". And things remain so. Prince's lawyer, Ian Eidsness, confirmed that the divorce papers for the couple were filed at Minnesota's Hennepin County District Court on May 24. So far, the lawyers of Prince and Manuela have refused to comment on the couple's split. Prince is going through a divorce for the second time, as he legally ended a previous marriage to background singer Mayte Garcia. Angels, love and light,

Thanks 4 the new reporting Synergy. I really hate 2 heard this. I hope Prince is not messing around with Tamar. If so, both of them have 2 live with themselves. As far as his wife goes... what goes around comes around. Tamar and no one else would just take my man like that. I hope Prince isn't the whore everyone has accused him of being. I love the man and his music but I also want happiness 4 him. He's getting 2 old 4 all this late night partying. It is and will continue 2 take its toll on him. I just hope he gets through this and fine the real woman that can handle his ass. From the looks of it, Mani was not the one . I feel like this, if Mani was doing her job and keeping P satisfied he would'nt have 2 mess around. Again, he need a certain type of woman that knows how 2 handle his ass.

There are not enough words in the English language to express how ignorant you are for posting that. Grow up, get a life and stop worrying about who P finds attractive. And keep dreaming that Prince cares about what you or anyone else thinks about his taste in women. [Edited 7/29/06 9:30am]

mayb that type of woman would prefer a grown-up but i heard we dont get to choose who we love love chooses us. i dont think there's anythin goin on between p & t.. she wouldnt be sayin stuff like " oh he has the kindest heart, he calls me his little sister ", then turn around and screw the guy. he's just doin his Papa Bear routine one mo time, hopefully to get it out of his system. cuz i'm hearing face down just like elvis on a radio playin, just around the corner..... in my experience, wives of musicians, who are NOT musicians, usually feel very threatened by any female musicians that come near their husbands. and if p is spending more time with t than with m, shit gunna hit the fan sooner or later, cuz baby girl dont understand the true nature of music. there's a bond between musicians, that - sorry to say - non-musos will never understand. at the same time - its not very fair for the hubby to rub it in the wifes face. the presumption that one can do what they want, has been the undoing of many an otherwise kind heart. they usually end up losing everything, convince themselves they havent, and repeat the same patterns over and over again. especially the ones who never look back and refuse to learn from the past. living in the Everlasting Now is a great lifestyle, but it cant be maintained without the Gift of Hindsight. ego check. x " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below.
