I've been a huge fan since i was five, i went to my first ever concert when i was 11, which was the gold experience on 11th march 1995 in manchester, then again on 7th october 2002 also in manchester, i have never grown bored of prince or his music, i am now 22 so even if the average age is 30 summit? it don't mean i ain't funky!!!!

where would you go if you wanted to buy a sam cooke album!!!!!

In view of all the attention Prince gets on; Should he still do this or should he do that, and the comparisons between P's body, make-up, style and his age.....How old is the the average P fan base? I think it's relevent to the criticism he seems to be getting.

i'm 18. prince is my favourite artist and he is hot too..hot then hot now. period..

smile I'll say 25 to 50.
God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

If you're in your early 30's and can't specify the second digit, I predict a major midlife crisis at 40 and you'll think you have one foot in the grave at 48. But that's OK! Avoid calenders. It really does get better after 40, even 50.

You know what, all you bitches can kiss my ass lol

As someone already figured out I'm 34. And my 34 year old ass was simply responding to Nammie, but thanks for your prediction. Frankly, I wish you would stop explaining yourself lol hammer

Actuallly, xplnyrslf, I was just teasing her. I just love to see Cal get lathered... She has such a deliciously fresh mouth giggle I don't think anyone of us will be having a midlife crisis any time soon.. As for me (like my momma would say) I'm 21+ dammit hmph!

I am calculating the ave-org age and thus far I'm the oldest at 51, and it's amusing to see 30 somethings painfully agonize over their age. I just never did that in my 30's.

I definately see Con Funk Shun worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as James Brown or Parliament when discussing funk from the 1970s. A lot of people pretend to know funk just because Prince made funk. A lot of the prentenders love to mention groups like James Brown or Parliament because they were introduced to them by Prince. Also, music critics have discussed these groups to death.

Real funk lovers know there was music just as funky, if not funkier, by groups other than the ones the critics have discussed to death. Groups like Con-Funk-Shun, Brick, Slave, Manu Dibango, The Brothers Johnson, BT Express, Sun, The Isley Brothers, etc.

I love Slave! Mark Adams is one of the dopest bass players I've ever heard. Ditto Louis Johnson.

I respect your opinion on CFS.

Peace
B.

Also Cymande, Cameo, the Gap Band, the Black Bryds, Rufus, and The Average White Band. And Of Course Rick James! True funksters appreciate his music contribution and know at least 5 other of his songs outside of SUPER FREAK! And know that he was more than a Dave Chapelle punch line. Funk makes me happy! headbang

Back to the subject at hand....I'm 37...a proud Prince fan since '78!

I was gonna say George Duke, but I thought people thought of him as a "jazz" artist. I got Dukey Stick on "45 still....I need a turntable. If we say George Duke, then we gotta mention Lenny White (Peanut Butter), Tom Brown (Jamaica Funk & Thighs High), T.S Monk, Roy Ayers & Donald Byrd. Great funk jazz fusionist. Thought of 2 more....Isaac Hayes and Dennis Coffey.

I am now 21. Have been a devoted listener/collector ever since I found a new cd on my mum's shelf. It was Graffiti Bridge which had only just come out. So I was 4 or 5 at the time.
