2) the first disk has stuff that really didn't need to be remastered on it as they were originally released in the early 90's (7, My Name Is Prince, Gett Off, D&P, etc.)

3) the piggy back release would be confusing to the general public who may be casual fans (as opposed to hardcore fans who know that... hello...Prince has a new album with new music on it and "Ultmimate Prince" ain't it).

4) disk 1 has a crappy track listing with 10 of the songs already having just been on The Very Best of Prince from just a few years ago. Thus making the release only worth getting the second disk.

and

5) Dollars to donuts the same folk that are moaning over the delay of UP are the same people who would be bitching to the high heavens if Prince were releasing the damn thing and not Rhino for all the reasons stated above.

ah, cool...i thought it was like one of those cheapy/somewhat-nice DVD packages like those pam grier movies ya see everywhere...not that there's much need for a deluxe 5 disc collector's edition of willie dynamite, packaged in a giant fake-fur pimp hat with bonus collectible goblet. but, you know, i'd buy it.

It's still listed on the Rhino website for next week. However, the listing is no longer "clickable". You used to be able to highlight it for information and ordering, and you can't anymore .....

It has 2 be VERY EXPENSIVE 2 cancell the project last minute like this.
COmmercials were ran and paid 4. Im sure print ads may be set in motion. THe actual cds being called back doesn't all this cost money 2 Rhino/WB? Does this come out of there pockett or from Prince's Cut?
