It was "Buy It Now" for £54.34. I figured that when 'The Hits/The B-Sides' came out, I paid around £29.99 for it - and taking inflation into account, it's probably only a little more expensive.

Looks like I'll be eating beans for the next month again.

I still think it's a bit of a con though. I'm basically buying this for six remixes. Everything else has already been released on CD. The edited versions of the songs on Disc One can nearly all be found spread across 'The Hits/The B-Sides' and 'The Very Best Of Prince' compilations. The only track on Disc One which doesn't appear on the prior two compilations is 'My Name Is Prince (Edit)' and this was on the UK CD Single anyway.

Yes, I know that the tracks are louder but to my ears (from the tracks leaked on the P2P networks) they're just louder - not remixed from scratch.

so if a cd is recalled, can it still chart? It is still being sold and racking up numbers. The accounting firm can't refute the sales. So can it chart?

As long as the CD is not released in 3 - 6 months time in the same format then I would call it an investment - I personally would not have paid that but then I am a stingy git !!!

I called Virgin Megastore in Times Square today. They have "Ultimate" as an import and are holding it to the side for me.

The guy also told me that the US version will be released in September.

At this point, who knows. But I can't wait to get my copy
