A few of the previous Prince Show sketches have been lame, but I thought this one was actually pretty funny.
When "Prince" (Fred") was standing before his Mirror of Reflection, I really thought they were going to do like what they'd done with Jimmy Fallon and Mick Jagger that time, and have the real Prince on the other side of the mirror, playing Prince/Fred's reflection. That would've been great. "Prince wants you to go sit on that moon over there."

So far we've got:
"Fury" "A Woman Scorned" "A Woman's Thorn"

Fury was very Hendrix-esque in the lyrical delivery.
I hope the album version doesn't have that stale keyboard riff. And P. did a slight jump in the heels. So I'm becoming more and more convinced that the hip-replacement rumors were just that. I was totally waiting for Prince to do a cameo on the Prince show skit. It's just as well though. It was pretty lame. I like the idea of "The Prince Show," and the first one was okay, but now they're really not funny at all. "I Was FINE Back in the Day!"

Loved it. reminds me of 94 Letterman Dolphin performance. Guitar was on.
It's amazing that half the nation still doesn't know how good he is on guitar. so hopefully this will show them. The song structure was great. and his sound was perfect. Prince show was funny. Glad they still did it. Fred is a huge Prince fan so I hope he gets to talk to him. Good Stuff so far. Music is the best...

I kinda knew he wasn't gonna do it, but it was such a wasted opportunity. The perfect time would've been during the mirror of reflection. He could've been Fred's reflection. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

As I expected, Prince gave a helluva performance on SNL. I wonder what he thought about that skit. All Hail Prince, still reigns after all these years. "Did u know that I still had your stockings? I keep'em in a drawer next 2 your brassiere"

Screw the skits. Is he playing again? What's happening?

Damn! My internet has been slow since the performance....
Okay how fucking awesome was that? Prince tore it up! My guitarist friend just called me and was like, Holy Shit! That was amazing!! And did you see him jump up at the end (see screen cap above). All you people talking about hip replacement need to The Prince Show was LAME...and no surprise appearance from Prince. I thought maybe he would have been the reflection in the mirror. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

That's how I feel but that's Prince for you. But having said that, I'm glad he's there at all. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

He's on again--Beatiful Loved & Blessed.
Now he is wearing a turquoise suit with cantaloupe colored turtleneck underneath and has the Hohner. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

It's silly season in the world of Prince. Thanks Tom for uploading.

I loved that jacket he was wearing...and Tamar's dress, too.
Thought it was very sweet how he went over and hugged her afterwards... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I didn't care for that last song.
It was eh But who cares. At least Prince was there. It's good to see him. I grade the overall show a B. (he had good presence and musicianship, but the songs as a whole and the lyrics could have been better). The dancers were OK. They brought energy. Tamar (was that her?) was OK. She and Prince have chemistry. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not super-elated either. I'm fulfilled.

Beautiful Loved and Blessed is a nice song. I liked when Prince kind of tapped Tamar on her shoulder as she was basking in the glory and gave her a hug. He is just so precious.
