Why didn't Prince attend Sunday's Grammy Awards to pick up the fifth and sixth trophies of his career? He was too busy hosting parties at his Bel Air mansion, according to his publicist. Guests at a late, late Saturday-night soiree included John Mayer, Jay Leno, Jessica Simpson, Babyface, Ani DiFranco, the Black Eyed Peas, Macy Gray and, of course, Paris Hilton. And a post-Grammys bash featured Stevie Wonder as guest of honor, along with Alicia Keys, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek and Elijah Wood. I.W. wasn't invited, but we hear that Wonder was at the keyboards in Prince's living room at 5:30 a.m., jamming with the host (on guitar) and the Maceo Parker band with Matthew McConaughey on congas -- fully clothed, we trust. Elijah Wood talked shit about Prince not too long ago...whateves...

This was just begging to mention how P was destined to make sure he became the REAL "Prince of Bel Air".
