Some get a little fame under their belt and think that their opinion is what everyone wants 2 hear. won't talk smack about ya because I do like your music. really don't know how 2 taker her comment other than it just being a comment! Speaking for myself, would have 2 leave my husband in a heartbeat if Prince wanted 2 marry Prince me! would luv for him 2 love & adore me as would him! Call me pathetic.... can handle it!
Zelaira?! Okay uhmmmmm is that another word 4 pathetic?!?!!? Just thought I'd check. ~2PuRpLe2CrY~

Maybe there was a slight amount of exaggeration involved in calling her a whore, don't you think? But nevertheless, some things people really should keep to themselves on certain issues. It's really not that big a deal, but first she's saying she likes a make-up wearing man's music and right after she's very quick to denounce such a man could ever attract her. Like how is that even relevant on any level? What if Prince would say something similar in an interview? Read into this: "I really love Björk's music, but I wouldn't touch that gnome-looking skank even if she payed me for it." It would be exactly the same thing. You can think whatever you want, be sexually aroused by anyone, but really you should know better as an adult not to call something that doesn't fit your preferences "strange". Especially if you're going to get it printed. It's illegal, but it's not quite tasteful either. i think she's jealous ,she came out with"how come u dont call me anymore?" a song by Prince.that's how we came 2 know her, she was riding off the song wingz of Prince.Playing the piano ,at the time he was greatly missed tryin 2,be like 'em, she dont have no place right now, because Prince is on his throne,so she's throwing a stone she's hating, coz she's jealous. it's like usher, when Micheal jacksons is around, who needz usher? alicia keyz is a Prince wannabe, and usher is a micheal jackson wannabe. and she's mad coz she's got 2 "get her own tunez".lol...(i luv u cousin).nibiru's kidz. may meekness, and peace follow u where ever u may go...

Alicia has every right to not like what she doesn't like. I don't think that shit she said was cool, but if she were a dyke, I wouldn't date her cuz I don't like masculine women and she is very masculine to me. I think she is actually going great lengths to 'girl up' her image lately.
It's all about preferences but I do think it speaks about the type of person that she is to say something to a reporter about someone who is a friend, mentor, or whatever to her. It was just tacky to me.

Yea, it is tacky to say that publicly about a legend that's embraced you SO fully I'm sure her feelings might be a little hurt if Prince said, "I'd never date a broad who acts like a fuckin' dude" when specifically asked about Keys. That's some cold shit. She could use a makeup tip or 2 from P, help her w/ that acne

That's what was thinking b4, 2. But apparently...*ahem* But, yeah, couldn't marry Prince, BECAUSE HE'S MARRIED!! lol But personally think that Prince is the finest man on the planet, so of course wouldn't mind if he wore makeup. That's like saying you don't like his heels either. And some1 tell me, Who doesn't like P's heels? It's all in what your preference is. don't mind that she feels that way, just thinks it's funny for her to say that she admires him so much, yet says she wouldn't want to b seen w/ a person who wears eye-liner in the same sentence. Just kinda strange 2 me.

WTF?!?!?
How does Alicia Keyes not wanting a man who wears makeup be any f*cking reason to start dissing the woman and start calling her names? WTF?!?!? Half you folks out there either wish you looked like her or wish you could be in her. WTF?!?!? Get a grip. The chick don't want to share her damn eyeliner with the man she's boinking. That don't mean she's got "issues"...and it's no reason to start hating on her. WTF?!?!? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

He wears make-up, heels, and sometimes curly bouffants. Yet, Prince's presence remains strongly masculine ...he can't dilute it. When Prince walks into a room, his aura is strong, commanding, powerful. It's not soft and demure. How does he do that? How does he maintain his masculinity with all the get-ups, with all those pouts, on-the-floor writhings, and tantrums? It's beyond me. I don't know who else could do it. (MJ and Little Richard can't) But Prince is a bad-ass damned masculine muthafucka! i totally agree:his aura and soul is very strong, much stronger than other things like make-up etc.U really see him bearing his soul and understand his mission. His yin/yang is perfectly in balance.More power 2 him

does your wife know your here? she always seems awkward when they have her all glammed up and especially when her braids are taken out and her hair is straigtened. she just always seems to look awkward when she's dressed more feminine. some women are not very feminine and aren't gay (i'm one of them). but i do see what you're sayin' i do think she is gay...its somethin' goin on there now whats this about her going to a diner with her girlfriend? anymore details?

Firstly, Alicia Keys is not gay. Just because she chooses not to include the rest of the world in her relationship like other superstars do does not give anyone the right to start dissing her like this.
Secondly, everyone, including Alicia, is entitled to their own opinion. Thirdly, Alicia Keys is an incredible musician with an incredible amount of talent. Ashanti, Beyonce, and all the other crap thats around don't have anything on her. If you were all musicians u would see this but ur not so you don't have the right to say anything. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

Comments like this remind me that people like Alicia Keys don't understand Prince fully. They may love the hits, but when it comes to the fact that he is who he is because he's detached from what we call the real world she'll never get it. Comments like this scare me ... why ride the d#%ck so? It's not peraonal. Is Prince a close personal friend of yours? If you haven't noticed. Big Bootys is the new $hit. Well, I think I'd have no problems marrying a man who wears make-up. I mean, one of us should, and since I don't, might as well be him.
Then again, umm...The fact that he has a penis and no breasts would be the fact that I wouldn't marry him.

Speculating on Ms. Keys sexual preference is not dissing her. If you think saying she might be gay is a bad thing, you're the one with the problem, not us. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Silly fanatics. First off, she's already acknowledged how much she admires Prince's talent and how he has influenced her. That should be enough. She's been with the same dude in her Crucial Keys production team for a few years now. So what if she doesn't want an efeminate man. That makes her gay? If anything, I would think that women that desire efeminate men may harbor latent homosexual desires for women but may be afraid to act on them. Its silly to think that every woman only wants short, skinny, pretty boys. You guys crack me up sometimes.

They're calling her gay because a lot of them truly think she might be. It has nothing to do with her apparent dislike for pretty men. As for women who like pretty men having latent homosexual desires? Who the fuck knows. Maybe. I'm bi, and I think androgyny in general is pretty fucking hot. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
