First off: How about talented, overhyped?

Second, think here's a bit of a double standard going on here. Prince can play both sides of the gender coin and it's cool, but she's a carpetmunching whore??

ehhh? i dont have an issue with her playing the mystery side..but she doesnt, she denies her lesbianism...at least prince openly questioned "boy or girl"...cha know?

I was thinking the same thing...but if the girl can't see past his eyeliner, she probably won't be able to see the real thing, or see the real things...I love Alicia, but I wonder why they quote some pointless things celebrities say sometimes. Could it be the questions interviewers ask???

Alicia didnt say nothing negative about him. Just an opinion about the kind of man she is looking for. And some of you call her ´bitch´, etc
I dont like her music, but I respect her opinion. If I was a girl, I wouldnt probably want a feminine man. The same way I dont like masculine women like K D Lang.

Alicia didn't dis P. All she did was express what she herself wanted in a man.
About the talent quote that some of U made, Alicia can play the piano (technique wise) very well, is a pretty damn good writer, and is an okay singer. These days P would probably expect 2 hear something like this from some women. Tastes seem 2 B changing in the female of the species. Lastly, about the lesbian thing, eye'm not 2 sure about that. My father being a respected musician has seen a lot of recognizable people. And he saw Alicia with her boyfriendin a club watching him play. This is a fact. It may have been some time ago, and things may B a little different now, but this eye do no.
all eye can do, is just offer U my love...

What's strange is that Prince is not effeminate to me.

He wears make-up, heels, and sometimes curly bouffants. Yet, Prince's presence remains strongly masculine ...he can't dilute it.

When Prince walks into a room, his aura is strong, commanding, powerful. It's not soft and demure.

How does he do that? How does he maintain his masculinity with all the get-ups, with all those pouts, on-the-floor writhings, and tantrums?

It's beyond me. I don't know who else could do it. (MJ and Little Richard can't) But Prince is a bad-ass damned masculine muthafucka!

And the words go:

"Yeah, you're kinda cute
But it's about the perfume
Confusion in your bathroom..."

That was from "Boys Club", "written" by Sheila E., but has Prince's signature sound over it. This whole play on everything but don't take credit for any of it might be starting to irritate me. Gossimer Vulture has left the building.

I digress. Alicia, honey, I just have one thing to say: You kinda don't have to worry about it, cuz Prince is already taken, and by someone who doesn't mind it. If the JW crew had a problem with it, you can best believe it would be gone, though.

Just some random thoughts running in one ear and out the other at this hour of the day.

1. Brother Nelson IS already married...2. Prince is a confident, sexy, intelligent, humourous, on & on...guy with PLENTY of masculinity. Makeup or no. 3. He hardly wears makeup any more, when he does, its understated, unless the lighting is bad. HE DONT NEED MAKE UP. I feel he looks much better now. 4. I would B proud 2 B seen with Prince ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE. Bsides, HIS music and his inner sanctum is the true beauty of the man. The outer layer is a shell, that God will make into perfection in the NEW WORLD...4 all who follow him. cool I believe at home, in a relaxed state, he looks very handsome and feels very comfortable bcuz he DOESNT need front 4 anyone. Thats the real beauty of prince.

Keys Needs A Manly Man
(Soundbuzz, Wednesday February 2)

R&B beauty Alicia Keys cites Prince as one of her idols because he's "not afraid of his masculinity". However, she warns potential suitors she'll never date a man who wears make-up. The singer encourages men to follow Prince's example and physically express themselves in a unique style. However, she regrets she could never be attracted to a man who fully embraces his feminine qualities. She says, "I love Prince - he's not afraid of being crazy. He's not afraid of his masculinity. "I think guys should do whatever they want to do. Now, do I want a guy who wears make-up? I don't know if I would like to walk down the street with my man wearing eye-liner. I might feel a little strange about that." (wenn)

How shallow is she??? fucking whore... rolleyes

Yes, may she BURN IN HELL for simply not preferring a man who ears eyeliner. How DARE she not want thy Prince God with all the desperation in her. She's definitely a whore for saying that. ..... neutral

I hope I'm reading your sarcasm correctly smile

Really, folks, I don't give a shit who she wants to fuck...thug ass gangsta boys or girly girls. As a gay man, the one thing I've learned is to stay the fuck out of people's sexuality...you can't really policitize that shit. Whether or not you appreciate her musical talents (I do, even if I don't love it...but can appreciate why people are tyring to feel it), it's really lame, IMO, to slag her for gender-fucking. That shit is needed. And unless you've personally licked her pussy, and then she denied it public, stay the fuck out of that peanut butter, okay?
