This is also found in “Melt With U” from the same album, (The symbol album), where he says “Don’t look know but there’s a river of blood—U must’ve been a virgin/What am I guilty of?” It’s disguised as a straight up hetereosexual song, but it’s homosexual overtones can be understood when you throw in the dihydrogen monoxide factor.

This obsession actually has not subsided like many of Prince’s various obsession (sex, rap music, buttless yellow power suits), and has actually become more severe after he became a Jehova's Witness. Now he believes that dihydrogen monoxide has been administered to Jesus during periods of his life, and that because it is a trace compound in trees (the primary source of toilet paper), that it is not safe to use toilet paper, which is why he no longer shakes people’s hands with his right hand.

I know some of you don't think it is, but I love that song.

I will even venture to say that I think it's a classic.
To me, "Prince Classic" has a few elements:

1) It stands out from the rest of his catalogue
2) It's easily recognizable as Prince
3) It has pop appeal
4) It sounds as fresh today as it did when it was first released

7 satisfies all of these dayum requirements.
Look, Mayte might have been just another one of Prince's cheap, under-the-legal-age-of-consent hussies, but the bitch inspired him to write some pretty damned good music. And no matter what you have to say about D&P or , those albums had some real gems on them. 7 is one of them.

Tremendous track. It has an infectious sound, but not in a poison ivy kind of way. The entire 0+> album is greatness. 2nd to Gold in the 90's. I concur with the 3 Chains of Gold take. It is also very underrated.
