It's a nightmare that Vanity is having or living now that he is to married Mani. Mani is the darker haired woman and their hands are locked together at the dinner table (meaning marriage). Is it a couple in the shower or just the darker haired woman? If it's a couple, then maybe it makes sense that Vanity would be upset since that is something she and him enjoyed. I don't get the part of the darker haired woman putting the lipstick on her. That's wierd, but it does mean something. The little girl is still mystery to me.

The more I watch it and think about it the more I think it refers to Vanity leaving in 1983 after discovering he was messing around with Moonsie and Jill. But laid on top of it is her marriage. After she married he finally realizes he was arrogant, didn't apologize. He realizes she is his home. But she won't call him. (also in the Empty Room video he tries to call her from the bathtub and she doesn't answer. I think there is a song from that era too about calling her but she;s with another guy, might be that rain rain rain song).

Could very well be that mashed the two stories for the video. The rain, rain, rain song is "17 Days". Boy that picture is spooky. I can only make out her face and hands. What's everything else? I see the black lace which looks like the lingerie she wore with Vanity 6.

No, that sounds good. Maybe the little girl is the younger version of Vanity and maybe she's mad at her older self for running away. Maybe her mother put up with a lot of sh*t from her father and stuck it out? I don't know that story.. The parents seem to match up to Vanity's parents though.

Vanity's mother i recall abandoned the family when Vanity was four. I think I saw a photograph of Vanity's mother and father and the mother had dark hair but very white skin. I'll try to find it.

purple girl I had a dream about that video last night, the image of her with the 5 on her hands must've spooked me. When I woke up this morning I thought that it represented her involvement with drugs and satanism after she moved to Hollywood. Remember she said demons were dancing around her bed? Could be a date! Nice catch. Maybe they were still trying to hash things out and by May 5th, they were done. I love disecting videos. Now, not only can I NOT listen to Prince's music the same way I used to (without thinking it's diary/journal entry of some sort), but I can't see his videos the same either.

Now on to the next video analysis.. I was just watching Raspberry Beret and unfortunately the one on YT has been muted, but the video is still there. If you pay attention to the moving artwork behind him on the stage, you'll see a dancing girl with long dark hair, then later you see a dove flying away and lightning bolt. She rides away with him on the motorcycle also. THis is too much.
