He's STILL a guitar god to me. I've already praised him twice in my comments for his work on the CD, and in shows. However, I do think it's sad that the reunion was so short lived.

He's still a guitar god to me too, and if I don't like what he did I'm gonna say so. He backed out of a commitment and let a lot of people down at a crucial time and I'm not amused. His increasingly bizarre posts on fb are troubling too.

Now, if dude is genuinely troubled I would take that into consideration and suggest he get some help to cope with whatever but I stand by my statement that what he did was foul.

clapping I agree. If he has some personal issues that need to be worked out, they're not going to be solved by posting it on FB, and many are very concerned about him right now because of his recent postings on FB, and just want to know if he is okay. I doubt anyone would want to see Jesse fall by the wayside, if there is something going on he needs to talk to someone about. Despite his choosing to leave the group for whatever reasons, at this point, I do hope the fellas of the OG7 reach out to Jesse at this time to make sure he is okay.

Okay, I didn't want to be the first to say it but if you watch the interview that was posted here from a local mpls station where he wouldn't shut up, that was the first thing I thought. The over talking, the ADD, he couldn't stop moving around....

Yet, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say no.

I really, REALLY hope he's not. sad Playing with El Debarge and D'Angelo ain't gon' help his case if he is! Those two have iffy track records. confused

It's odd, (to me at least), that he would distance himself from the O7 and gravitate toward these two in particular knowing the issues they're still wrestling with.

His behaviour in that interview seemed idiosyncratic at the time but I'm gonna watch it again in light of these new developments.

That could be the reason the fellas aren't saying anything if they know something's wrong with him. If that's the case then he's better off getting help and being around people who actually love him rather than posting odd fb messages and hanging with El and D'Angelo of all people.

As much as he's pissing me off, if he's having a meltdown then I hope he finds a better way to handle it.

Agree, with all you've said, but at some point the fellas have to say something. They just released a new album and I believe it was pointed out they have some upcoming, scheduled appearances, so they're probably working on getting a guitar player to replace Jesse and will more than likely explain the changes once they find one. They'll probably continue to keep the name at this point. Who knows, maybe DrFunkenberry will get a chance to interview them about Jesse's departure, and maybe by then they'll have a replacement and take the explanation from there.

I am a true to life "FIRE ROOSTER"
(! was born June 1st)

The Rooster is often seen as the original strong silent type, not unlike the Humphrey Bogart and Greto Garbo prototypes. Most people consider them quite eccentric.

Sad to say, relationships with other people are often strained. They are quite moody and can be too outspoken.

They are often self-centered, but can be quite brave when the situation calls for it. On the other hand, Rooster People are quite talented and capable. They are always devoted to their work and have a reputation for being the hardest of workers.

Rooster People are deep thinkers and are pioneers in spirit. They can experience the greatest of joy in complete solitude. Even though often alone, they rarely experience loneliness.

Instead, they enjoy their own company and feel solitude helps them in their quest after knowledge.

Pleasure and only Pleasure is what I'm thriving for when I'm bringing forth my electric noise to you and your earholes.♥

When I play guitar, I touch the strings so gently that I want the sound to literally drip from my fingers. Sometimes I press the guitar against my body so that I can feel my heartbeat thru it! I love large amplifiers with a lot of paper moving (Speakers) your pants and shirt. It's really an out of body experience.♥

But remember the sound has to be so Warm and Sensually Electric and Spiritual too!♥

That's why Crystals, Turquoise, Onyx, Silver, and the sort adorn my instruments in an attempt to draw in good energy as well as send out good clean uplifting energy to you that feel what i'm trying to say. I say trying to say because no one has control over creativity. So we try to coax her into caressing us for if only just a little while. ♥

I fall asleep playing guitar at least 6 out of 7 nights, not writing just playing. When i don't fall asleep playing I dream of playing something or with some one cool! (I dig that drummer Quest on the Fallon show and the bass player women with the short hair, Michele, I can't pronounce her name but she's fucking amazing to hear get off, i mean she's scary!)

I'm still very intrigued by guitar and people like Hendrix, Al & BB King, James Page, Ed Hazel, Tony Iommi, and Curtis Mayfield, Wes, Spanky, Jubu, Pat Martino, and how they pulled so much from such a limited instrument, as apposed to piano that is.

Please excuse me for boring you about guitar, but at times she's been my only friend wink (or at least she's had to share me with another woman)

For those who don't like my music or anything about thy, lets just RESPECTFULLY to agree to DISAGREE. So love one, and not always all!

LovePeace,

Attention To Whom Ever:

Prince well never be forgotten in life. even through our disagreements, it was Prince who taught me how to be a STAR instead of just a guitar player. So always, much love to Prince & Morris! Those two bad mother fuckers gave me my world wide shot, and I more than delivered what was expected of but I know I've more than paid in full$$$$$

Prince truly was not an influence, because we influenced by a lot of the same players, mainly SLY STONE! I'm still trying to be SLY STONE!!!!!!!

And if you don't agree or believe lets agree to disagree Peacefully!

Well, most of those FB posts have been posted here, a few pages up, except this one, where he admits to sounding kind of 'spacey' sometimes. Doesn't seem to bother him that he does I guess. shrug

I am well aware that I at times sound kinda spacey ( Which I proudly am!), but that's my way to hopefully trick you into picking up a book and finding out some new morsels of knowledge about yourself!

Doesn't "The Rooster" have something to do with Chinese birth year signs, which are all animals? Like "Year of the dragon", "Year of the horse", etc.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Chinese Zodiac Rooster

313QpZb96WL. SL160 Chinese Zodiac Rooster

Personality

Occupying the 10th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Rooster symbolizes such character traits as confidence, pompousness and motivation. Those born under the Chinese Zodiac sign of the Rooster are loyal, trustworthy individuals who are blunt when it comes to offering their opinions. Their bluntness stems not from being mean but from being honest; a trait which Roosters expect from others.

Roosters are extremely sociable and prefer being the center of attention, always bragging about themselves and their accomplishments. They continually seek the unwavering attention of others which can be annoying. Roosters are as proud of their homes as they are of themselves. They’re extremely organized individuals as evidenced by the fact that their homes are always neat.

Health

Overall, Roosters are active individuals and their preference to be active helps keep them in good health. When they do become ill, they feel better quickly. They can at times however, take on too much and when that happens, they’ll feel stressed and moody.

Career

Roosters are highly motivated and hard-working; traits that enable most Roosters to have successful careers. Not surprisingly, Roosters make good actors, musicians and dancers. Other good career choices for Roosters include: CPA, banker, dentist, insurance agent, secretary, and book keeper. Roosters also do well in the armed forces.

Relationships

The Rooster’s bossiness and honest “tell it like it is” approach doesn’t work well with sensitive individuals. Roosters need to partner with those who are tough-skinned. They’re the individuals most capable of realizing that beneath the tough exteriors are huge, caring hearts overflowing with love.

Roosters and the 5 elements

Metal Rooster – Years 1921 and 1981

These Roosters have really big egos and are forever seeking willing listeners who can help keep those egos inflated. Metal Roosters analyze everything. Their aggressive nature keeps some prospective friendships and relationships from developing.

Water Rooster – Years 1933 and 1993

Water has a calming effect on this Rooster. Water Roosters don’t feel the need to rise above the crowd and their communication skills are more refined. Forever energetic and extremely detail-oriented, these Roosters can benefit from staying more focused on the end result rather than the minute details.

Wood Rooster – Years 1945 and 2005

More team oriented, Wood Roosters have many friends and acquaintances. Forever trying to seek the good rather than the evil in people as well as in life situations, their only fault is the tendency to not complete what they start. This happens because they frequently take on more than they can handle.

Fire Rooster – Years 1957 and 2017

Roosters in every sense, Fire Roosters spend much of their time perfecting their images. They’re terrific social organizers and excellent leaders. However they are overly blunt and this trait often hurts the feelings of others.

Earth Roosters – Years 1909 and 1969

Extremely organized and detail-oriented, Earth Roosters are excellent at multi-tasking. They’re motivated by success, and set high standards that they expect others to follow. These expectations of others can lead to animosity so Earth Roosters need to adopt a more subtle approach.

Compatibility

Roosters are most compatible with an Ox or Snake and most incompatible with a Goat and a Rabbit.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Going by this, maybe someone in the group is a Goat or Rabbit. razz Perhaps Jesse is saying that others are not as hardworking or maybe procrastinating and don't have a firm plan. So he is restless and unhappy. Or maybe the others don't listen to his ideas and/or tell him what to do, which was one of the problems George Harrison had in The Beatles.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Apparently he's now about to post some bootlegs, I'm cool with that. cool

Personally I'm not too mad at him quitting the OG7 since he already took part in the making of the album, which to me is more important than a tour since it's their first album without Prince. I think they proved a long time ago that they are a great live band and now we now that they are capable of making a good album too. I must say though, that I prefer Verbal Penetration.

Apparently it seems JJ's comments are in reference to the Chinese Horoscope's description of how JJ sees or defines his personality, desires and goals as a musician. Seems he's saying he works better alone compared to working with others as a group, and would rather keep move forward and not feeling 'stuck' within a group, that may not see 'eye to eye' with his creative ideas musically for the group, so he would rather leave the group, while they're still friends, in order to pursue his own career, as a musician, including taking control of the direction he wants to take his music career. Seems he's basically saying that as a musician he works better alone, but in spirit isn't alone on a personal basis. That's what I seem to get from that comment.

Also, since Alan Leeds posted on JJ's page, maybe he reached out to him in some way.

Oh you don't have to have an FB page to view an FB page that the individual doesn't have set as private, because I don't have an FB page. When an individual has an FB page they keep public, then they leave it open for everyone to see what's written on it. He can easily set it to private for just the friends on his page to see, if he didn't want everyone to see it, but he's a musician, so it's likely he chooses to keep the page public.
