and you are right, i think Prince does have the right to control his image for the most part - but part of being a famous, millionare musician is that people are going to be interested in you. And he simply cannot control how EVERY person on the planet expresses that interest. Again, freakin petty bullshit gets in the way of his fanbase and their contact with him.

Whether or not Aaron has made a good choice isn't the issue, IMO. it's that Prince initiates and luxuriates in these games. Doesn't seem cool to me. I love Prince but i am bored with the diva attitude.

Here's hoping HQ returns in one form or another. Like many I'm a member here and at HQ. Lurk in both but usually post at HQ.

Good to see positive posts on here. I wanna just repeat what others have said....we're all fans, all for the music and there's no reason or oint to slg either site. It's a real shame that this is happening so close to Lotusflow3r opening, but it's done now...move on.

Personally, I don't think that Prince has all that much free time to sit at his computer perusing fan sites about him, looking for violations of his image/trademark, whatever. I don't really care about this issue. I'm still planning on buying his new album(s) because I like his music and I want the official CD, not a sub-par MP3. I want to look at the album cover art and read the liner notes and all that. If he ever comes to Detroit again, I'll spend as much money as possible on getting great seats. You know what? I'm not sad about this at all. In fact, I saw this coming. Things have been going quite bad on that site for quite a while now and I'm not in the least bit surprised. Whether you like the rules or not, Prince doesn't want certain things done on these sites. No, he doesn't own them but if he communicating with the sites, then it shows that he knows enough about them to acknowlegde them, even if it isn't in a way fans would want him to.

Prince asked for a banner that wasn't officially sanctioned to be taken down. Aaron went into a fit and shut down HQ. All he had to do was take the damn thing down and go from there. Or better yet, there were official banners that Prince's camp not only gave HQ, but they were displaying, even though you had to go all the way to the bottom to see it. Why couldn't they have put those banners up top there? I doesn't matter to me, HQ's goose was cooked for a while so for this to happen, it confirmed what I already knew. Maybe if HQ comes back, there'll be different leadership with different mods who'll treat ALL the members with respect. In any event, when is Lotusflow3r going to come on? I'm ready for some new music!!!!!

The Prince photography part of HQ was never talked about and hasn't been since the days of PFU. This is about banners that you see when you hit the site. That's my understanding of this
