Aaron is a drama queen who craves Prince's attention. That's why I stopped posting to that site years ago. This is typical behavior for him. The site will be back eventually.

You may not like Aaron or HQ but Aaron is certainly no drama queen. He is the opposite.

Like I said before: I admire Aaron for holding on so long. And Ben too
cool

This is Aaron's latest stunt. Aaron has regularly tried to embarrass Prince and his legal team through the years. He wants P's attention so bad he's creaming in his pants just thinking about it! Here he goes again. The day before Prince's site launches, he's trying to create some bad press. He wants attention.

Is it really hard to see? Prince set a date for Aaron - close HQ by Jan 30th or face charges.... presto, a lot of "homeless" HQ'ers to avalanche in when Prince opens his new site. I think it's that simple. shrug

Meanwhile, Org people - remember that the vast majority of HQ members have been berating the Org and its members for years and now the tables may be turned... hmmm

Thanks, Gav, 4 explaining, although quite a few here missed what U were saying entirely.

Prince gave them official banners. A member created their own, and Housequake used it. Prince didn't like it, because it wasn't official, and asked them 2 remove it.

Aaron took a step back, and likely just decided that it wasn't worth it any longer 4 him.

That's his choice, his right, and his prerogative.

I wish Aaron wellness, and hope 2 see Housequake back someday.

Meanwhile, Prince is losing his fanbase rapidly.

Thanks Giovanni777 for breaking it down....but i think everyone here is over the age of 7 so no need for the soft approach....just say it HQ F**k up they should of known better...that's it...if they cared about HQ fans they would just stop and remove the logo/image/picture/sign...it was really crap photoshop banner anyway then the same nutter posted it on the org to cause more trouble....I fail to see why so called Prince fans are so stupid.. confused

Why do so few people want to own up to the fact that Aaron breached the copyright in aa MAJOR way by putting up all those videos and allowing discussions and (covert) solicitation of bootlegs??? It's true ostrich behaviour - the Org corrected its wrongs but HQ kept doing shit like the banners. Time to take your medicine, it's that simple.
Divide and conquer? The Org is solide. biggrin

Actually Prince was more pissed off about the recent Photoshop thread on here than he was about the banner.

I feel the same way, however, I can see where people feel ripped off because it was suppose to be a "lifetime" membership, which sorta gave the impression that it would be around for the life of his career.
But, for the money I paid, I personally feel I got my moneys worth as well.
But I can also see how other ppl feel differently, ya know?

Because it is an emoticon. Apparently I am not attempting to look like an official site with this as part of my tag. And apparently there is a huge difference, or are you so narrow-minded that you do not realize the difference?
I did not create the emoticons and they are for ANYones use that is on this site...apparently approved.
Are you serious????
I cannot even believe I would have to explain this shit to someone. This is totally different.
Attention everyone. The approved emoticon in my tag is my way of saying I am an official prince site.
Just an FYI.
Oh, and also...notice I have quotations around "Power Fantastic" and Prince's symbol. Hmmmm...probably meaning it is HIS song.

Maybe now (no chance really) people will wake up to what a wanker Prince is. He cares not a jot for his fans nor those who build communities in support of him.

He is a phoney who uses religion to further his career, suit his needs, manipulate his followers. If he was the guy who lived in the house next door you would hate him, find him strange and keep your kids away from him.

But he did write some top songs in the 80s.

Yeah, I took it as the lifetime of the site also. Some folks just do not care for him shutting down sites, then opening another. Personally,I am fine with however he wants to handle his own business.
As far as the price of the membership...
It has been so long ago, but I swear I think I paid like $100.00. wink
Anyone recall?

yeah. i'm not trying to be a fammy apologist (and i don't think horatio is, either), but i agree. the NPGMC project cycled its way through what prince felt was its completion, and he moved on to what he felt was the next thing. we paid to be part of that NPGMC concept through its completion, and it eventually ended. what's the big deal? for 25 bucks, we were supposed to somehow have lifetime access to everything prince would do for the rest of his career? who else has ever offered anything like that to fans? hell, i'm even fammier about david bowie, but last i saw it costs over $60 just for a YEAR of membership at his official site, and nothing even goes on over there except some forums and an occasional one line greeting from bowie himself. yet nobody at bowienet seems to complain about it. i think we got off good with NPGMC. shrug

It's a discussion about another popular fan site, and how recent incidents with that site could have an effect on this site. I felt it was more appropriate in this forum.

Don't worry, all the posts read the same way here as they did in P:M&M. smile

it's sad to me to see all the negativity and straight up hatred over here for Aaron and HQ in general. it seeems pretty childish and petty in my opinion.

but then i am just one of those HQ losers that is obviously not wanted here.

The only other artist I know of who charges for access to a website is Bowie.
I'm a huge Bowie fan too, but I'm not paying his ridiculous annual membership so I can look at what amounts to pretty much nothing.
So, yes, I do think for $25 it's reasonable to expect that 'lifetime' means lifetime.

Or maybe I've just been spoilt by Trent a little too much?

So Aaron has to put up with this stupidity.
Or shut up, as it appears.

But there's also the 'SUE HIM' option.
Prince should learn what the real world thinks about this 'rules'.
I'd gladly donate a few euros if he goes that way.

(yes I know I am not A's friend, nor Gav's, but I do know mr P is not always right)
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
