The same old vague suggestive marketing!
Material that "may" never become available again. We all know the trouble he got into last time with the broken promises. Looks like he is building an escape root in from the beginning this time. "Information" about shows, but no commitment to invitations or presales. I'm hope I'm wrong but the seemingly deliberate vagueness of this press release sounds even lower than Music club year 2. A musician, and he can't commit to any exclusive music? Photos are for the fam sheep. Maybe thats who the membership is aimed at? Concert footage might be nice, but the quality will be debatable. He seems more obsessed with his image than ever before. One thing I'll bet on is that the majority of content will be embedded low quality. $77 or not, Prince isn't going to give the crown jewels away with wanting us to pay extra for it. As a European fan, I don't expect any concerts this year, I don't need another one of his crappy t-shirts and I'm not going to sit at my PC watching shows in a you tube environment. I want the three new albums, but for that money, I'd expect the CD's, not just a download. Come on Prince, dishing the music and a little commitment won't hurt you. The whole teasing thing has worn incredibly thin now. I'll happily commit my $77 dollars, if you commit to something more than the vague hope of you putting on a crappy live feed show at 5am in the morning London time. Maybe he is only hoping to capture newbies and sheep this time around? . |
