In no walk of life would you pay out $77 for something when you don't fully KNOW what you're getting. It makes no sense.

So you're saying that if Prince (or anyone else) for that matter did a concert for $77.00... you should already know the length of the show... what's going to be played... what outfits are going to be worn.. etc...?

Of course you wouldn't know those things. But would you pay your money NOT knowing those details...? All you would know is that you're paying to see a concert... past that.. its all up in the air. You just hope to get your money's worth.

Don't expect an answer. lol

stop and listen to yourself dude. we pay prince for a service. it's his privilege to receive our money in exchange for his efforts to entertain us. paisley park and his lavish lifestyle come out of our pockets.

What came first the chicken or the egg.

We don't give Prince money to make music... we give him money because we like the music he makes. You pay a plumber for a service. A musician doesn't owe you anything.

Heck 2 hrs... 3 hrs... heck if I know. Am I gonna hear my fav song... or a medley of hits... or something totally new...? i mean...'psst' I guess I just foolishly toss my $77 to the wind not knowing crap like everyone else ..huh,,,?

Because it doesn't take anything past a third grade intelligence to see that simple logic.

And its still true.

P.S.: Big news: You are not forced to pay for the new website! It's not a tax!

You do realize prince is the one holding the whip right? You can not buy all the download albums you want. The truth is 99% of fans will buy the whatever music he sells because he got what we want, and we will do a lot for it. Again he's got the whip. whip

I would like to have the t shirt, but do not care about pictures or videos. I have plenty of those that I rarely watch anymore. The only thing I care about is a concert. I haven't seen him since he last came to Detroit in 2004. If he announces a tour and I see a Detroit date, then I will join to get the presale tickets.

I'm on social security. My hubby works for Chrysler and is laid off all of the time. I told my daughter I couldn't afford a pair of Pastry shoes she wanted for $70, so I'm sure not going to buy myself a website subscription for $77 right now. Personally, I think asking that amount is greedy and a shame.

I've been a Prince fan since I was 11 years old (I'm 36 now). For many years, I thought everything he did was brilliant, but as I'm getting older, he is sure getting on my nerves.

Ok, I'm in because of curiosity! doh!
Curiosity is one thing and I'm definitely curious, but it won't get me in at zero hour. Any exclusives will be reported here, if they're worth while, and we can join on day 2, 3 etc. If the exclusive first week content is 100 photos, then no. If it's a full length video of the 28th August 2007 Indigo show, then you'll have to cut off all my limbs to stop me joining.

IF the videos are downloadable, I'm in.
IF there's unreleased music, I'm in.
IF he comes to play shows in the UK, I'm in twice.

But for a t-shirt and photos?? Hell no!
lol

Still too many ifs and maybes and if I'm being honest, I'm less excited after this press release than I was before. JUST GIVE ME THE FREAKIN' MUSIC PRINCE!! I'd pay double for regular music like we had year 1 of the NPGMC. I loved the NPGMC. biggrin
RIP sad

Very obvious omission from press release, no mention of old download tracks.
Which I think is what everyone wants?

Not a lot there for non-us fans. album download i suppose! at least they are included. Concert exclusives are not relevant if only US based. Couldn't really care less about old photos. Or concert videos to be honest.
Hope to hell they are downloadable if we are paying from them.

?
Puzzled..undecided..seems all a little flowery and non-descript.
Still very annoyed about UK release cost.

haven't read all the content here, but... this is nothing new... we've all been here before... and now we have to shell out more money for product. Fair enough. He can't be expected to perform for nothing... so we'll pay our $77 and then, we'll get all excited and for, probably, a month or two, things will be ever-so-rosy... and then Prince will think of something else he can do and he'll neglect and then drop and then criticise those who have criticised him...

Oh, I hope I'm wrong. I hope the examples of the NPG store in Camden and all the websites and all the false dawns - oh the irony - are misplaced fears...

I know I'll be there with my $77 (Shit, is that what he's relying on?) and then I'll hold on to my ass and hope it's a ride that doen't stop when the whim takes Prince off elsewhere.

You are the one who has a naive view of the world.
You think that having a lifetime membership to one club gives you automatic free access to a new club starting years later.
You think Prince controls everything. You think Prince controls the international price of the Lotusflow3r CD. He isn't.

Although I agree with the idea that we will want to know what we're signing up for, your $100 in 2002 did get you 4 CDs, as promised, plus 2 download albums. (It's believed that Last December was a live album that became One Nite Alone... Live! and Xenophobia became Xpectation).
