I have to say I am disappointed with the proposed initial content. If the OLD content is merely images from past albums, and possibly past concert footage (realistically more likely to be Coachella and 21 Nights rather than 1999 tour or Parade tour etc).
I will still join cos I can afford it, and the dangled carrot of material that will only be available within the first week or so (that right there is soooo going to piss people right off). I know if it's something even remotely cool or exclusive in terms of musical content I will regret not joining. However the potential (for Prince to really use this site as the main conduit for the distribution of his art, and hopefully that's what the last few years of web sheriffing have all been about), is there. He really has me by the short and curlies. I have a choice not to join but my very strong preference for his music means he can pretty much pull my strings any way he wants. Unfortunately he had me at hello. Just somewhere in the middle,

Rorywan, rather than being unhappy I'm philosophic about it. I've never taken anything Prince has done personally. He makes his business choices and I've always had the choice to go with it or opt out. Just somewhere in the middle,

I don't really either, I think things come across more serious when written on here. I think he is actually quite funny, and he really takes the piss. All this is another part of it. I kind of expect him to exploit his fans. I'd say he is a nightmare to work with. But thats P. I had a few encounters with him at the O2. Great fun. As much as we give out, its all just fun. Some folk on here have gotten very 'Fammy' of late though, which I have to say really irritates me. This is a fun site, not a blind church of Prince! It has been a constant flow of disappointments since the cancelled Croke Park gig last summer. He is not very popular in this corner of the world since that fiasco. people gettin' all testy with this shit like $77 is a million bucks or something. do what you want with YOUR money and  . i have a crap job, am thinking of putting myself crazy in debt buying a new car, my rent is going up, am tryna talk to this girl and will no doubt spend my money on all kinds of other stupid things i don't really need anyways (strippers, food, etc.), so what the fuck? am not totally amped about seeing no pics. although he is a pretty motherfucker, i can see his ass plenty of other places for free . wouldn't mind getting some t-shirts and shit, since the lovesexy one i got on ebay don't really fit  . i don't trust his selections of video material to be anything i haven't seen already or have any interest in seeing, unless he puts out some lovesexy aftershow videos and shit . will d/l the albums from the site, buy the cds at target and pray i get at least one extra track (and not no bullshit instrumental disco jellyfish shit either ) for being a "founding member". have accepted the fact i will NEVER see him live unless he brings his purple ass somewhere in the vicinity of fucking connecticut  and has the show be for under a fucking grand to get in (again, not bitching about princey, just my own shitty situation). the idea of un-released material gets me pecker hard more than anything, but even if anything does pops up, it probably won't be nothing to write home about. but that's okay, cuz it's prince and i'm happy with the crumbs i get . was not an npgmc member, so i can't understand that whole gripe entirely. i'd be burnt if i paid dough for this site and the shit closed the next week too, but at the end of the day, it's not like he put a gun to your head. you knew who you were dealing with . gotta have something to look forward to. even if it is a bust, you always get what you paid for...
