There is a reason why plumbers quote you prices before they do the work. If you were dumb enough to pay 4x the amount the work was worth because you didn't get a second estimate.... whose fault is that... your's or the (laughing at you) plumber?

But of course, just because you got a lifetime guarantee on 'the particular work done' does not mean you get a freebie if another pipe breaks. You pay again.

By the way, I haven't gotten any e-mail from Target and I can take the bus to one of their stores. Mmmm strange.

No, but I respect the right to keep my personal information personal. Wow to you too if you don't care about becoming a marketing number. When did an artist area like music appreciation become a lesson in selling information? What gives?
Most credible websites TELL YOU if your private info is going to be sold to a third party. Look it up on the net.. Internet privacy laws and protecting your personal info. Wow, have you not got a problem with becoming a number for a couple of (probably disappointing albums). I certainly DO, so please don't diss me for having that opinion. I dont think Target got your email address from NPGMC because a lot of people on here were a member and i havent heard anybody about it. I was a member for a long time (since Love4oneanother i think) and been in "the system" with the same address and never junkmail. Isnt there another option? Signed up for updates that you forgot?

Nah, and it was recent, from 3 different mail accounts i have signed up with. you know the way .mac accounts have changed to .me accounts? never mind. To me at least there is not other rational explaination asto how I would get 3 "welcome to target" mails at the same time. We don't get american retail junk mail in ireland. There were others on the org who posted the same last week or the week before. Don't shoot me, just saying, very strange.

I have the mails, they are there.
I am here.

not to sound like an ass ,but when u think about the unreleased music that he is "supposed" to be giving us, i doubt it will be really old stuff or the really good stuff.

becuz when u think about it most of the GOOD stuff was done from '80-'89 and alot of it will have cursing and content that prince wont talk about these days.

and as far as video conten,im anxiuos to HEAR about it b4 i spend $77 on this website that mite not even be up that long.

im hoping to see recording sessions and/or concerts frm '80-'89 as well as the new concerts/parties he throws.

If he's dead or retired would you expect him to come fix it? The old club died, time to move along. $25 really isn't a lot of money for people to be so bothered about. Yeah it was a pisser but life sucks sometimes!

I'm also hesitant about the new club but not hung up on the old one. I see nothing so far to make it worth $77 but would join in a heartbeat if the content is right. I can't wait to see what people say is on there day 1. I'll probably last about an hour before I crack.

Thank you... Thought your plumber analogy was kinda off to begin with... I just rolled with you.

Bottom line is this. Most of us paid for NPG Club memberships... but only some of you have this notion that a 'lifetime membership' to the 'NPG Club' was a 'till death do we part' marriage contract to Prince. When the club died... the contract died.

More to the point... whether you paid $100 or $25 is irrelevant... that was then... this is now. Most people got thier money's worth because their expectations of what they were getting was reasonable to begin with. Others... expected an ounce of blood.

In terms of entertainment... $77 is not much money. What matters is the price tag one puts on thier entertainment value. I pay twice that for a cable and internet bill every month.... and I barely ever watch cable. A couple going out for a night can easily spend in excess of $77 just on dinner alone. A concert could easily surpass a $77 price tag. $77 would not be outrageous or may things.

One the other hand... I do beleive the reason Prince is charging so much is because he (and his marketing team) is fully aware that for each paid subscription to content... there will likely be three 'non-payers' downloading the same content once it becomes available. Simple marketing 101. I'm not knocking those who download or rip content for free... because I'm not a hypocrite. But I'm just aware of how that works. I always said I'm more than willing to pay if Prince would actually put out his own music, videos and more. I'm just being optimistic about this venture knowing the minimum we will get (the albums, new videos, some concert footage like Coachella, a t shirt I couldn't fit, advanced concert news and ticket info, etc) and am hoping for more. IMO... the minimum is worth $77 when I compare it to other things I'm more than willing to fork over that much for.

Get your facts straight..

I've been a member of the Org for most of this decade. I got a new user name last year so that my peeps would know who I was... where ever I went. I never liked his official forums... and that other site which closed down.... ughhh. The fact I hadn't posted often over the years means nothing except I have a life out side of Prince. Do you...?

I'm a very strong advocate for free speach. Whether I agree with what a person says or not. In fact, I've done my fair share of complaining about how Prince does things. I simply choose my battles and tend to only speak on things of real importance to me. Read a few of my blogs and you may learn a thing or two about my views on how Prince does things, So don't confuse me with one of your so called 'purple kool aid' drinkers... because I'm not one. TBut I'll tell you, the only people worse than the ones who faint every time Prince bats an eyebrow... are the ones who are stuck in bitch mode.

Constantly bitching, moaning and whining about everything he does will get on anyone's nerves. If he does so much wrong... why even bother to say anything... just tune him out shut up and go. Are you people ever happy...? Are you part of some masochistic cult..? Is your life so miserable that your only joy is pissing in some one else's kool aid and making them just as sour and miserable as you...?

My broke azz is going to pay the $77.00... and I so hope something extra does pop up in the first week for those who do pay. But ..wait... then yall will bitch about that. Damn... I don't see any way of getting away from the bitching. Its a bitch or bitch some more situation. cool

IMO... the minimum is worth $77 when I compare it to other things I'm more than willing to fork over that much for.

eek IT WASN'T MY PLUMBER ANALOGY..... eek

What came first the chicken or the egg.

We don't give Prince money to make music... we give him money because we like the music he makes. You pay a plumber for a service. A musician doesn't owe you anything.

lol eek lol
