HQ was indeed deliberately put into one of the less read section from the Org.
Moderators blaming each other it was another moderator who did that....

Posts being deleted in some threads, saying it was Off Topic, while in 50% of each thread on the Org, posts are off topic.....

It seems the Org just don't want to face the facts.....

My guess, The Org will become the NPGMC bulletin board...

Unfortunately, these complaints are nothing new. Housequake went through this with them back in 2004, but they were a little more flexible back then and actually did manage to work out an arrangement where NPG provided housequake with official photographs. I remember the npgmc.com mods actually posting about it on the boards at the time. Soooo....what was an agreement of sorts back in 2004 with Prince is no longer a viable option to him now. Alot of this could have been avoided if they had kept up their end of the agreement this time, which was the same as back in 2004 wherein they offered official photos in lieu of fan photos. After making the agreement, they refused to deliver.

I'm sure that this has been said but I can't be bothered to read all of the million pages that preceed.

I spend more time here than at HQ which I'm a member of. The only real reason for this is that I found this place first, you get used to something and we have more emoticons.

BUT, HQ is brill for scans, photos (not as easy to access different eras as here but hey ho) and obviously for vids back in the day before princageddon. I don't understand why people are crowing over the problems they are having. It could quite easily be happening here at any point. Lawd, why can't we all just get on?

I understand why both parties feel aggrieved yet playing this all out in the public domain does no good for either side, it is creating an us and them situation it’s fuelling tempers and making the situation a lot worse than need be, I understand the need for public support sometimes but in this case it’s causing more animosity. In my opinion this is very sad we all are here because we enjoy Prince’s music and socialising with like minded people, watching good people fight like cat’s and dogs is something I certainly do not enjoy watching.

Personally I think all those doing the negotiating should do so in private and do so in a business manner hopefully in a way to find a good compromise in a hope everyone can move forward. I’m ever the optimist I'm poitive this could happen if everyone tried hard enough....

They then received a reply politely pointing out that they didn't break copyright laws and the NPG team then OFFERED to swap the fan photos for official photos which HQ agreed to.

There was no blackmail involved whatsoever. The sad thing is, the NPG team chose not to make good on their offer.

I think Aaron did a great job over at HQ, but over-moderation ruined the site a long time ago.

What I can not fathom is why this is all being played in the public domain I have many family members in the legal profession two are high court judges and in the profession everything is done behind closed doors the only time I have seen anything placed into the public domain is when it comes to trial this you probably already know is so not to prejudice/jeopardise the case this is my opinion is the correct way to do business and in my opinion the only way, so I am surprised this is not happening now.

Everyone knows full well that by bringing the troubles into the public domain (this community) battles would begin it has happened way to many times before so it is certainly no surprise this time. I have been around this community from day dot it started and seen it all before and know exactly what has happened in the past and what goes down in this community/websites so let us all not pretend that if the NPG handed over the pictures everything would have been fine and dandy, something must be angering them for these recurring problems with HQ and for once I wish the problems would be resolved so that we all can return 2 enjoying ourselves with not having people feel like they have to take sides, maybe this is just a load off hullabaloo and will blow over as it has done in the past I suppose we will just all have 2 wait and see.

And before anyone says I have taken side you have got that so wrong it’s not my style I have always attempted to be the peace maker, I have taken a load of abuse in the past because I am this way and it has never bothered me and I am not about to change now. In my opinion there is no point battling over something like this way to much real blood battles going on in this world, In my opinion If people put enough passion and energy like they have in this case to the real atrocities in this world we all would have a nicer planet to live on.

All concerned please return to the table and open cool headed negotiations and compromise please try put an end to this now and move on. And everyone else please allow them to do so with no added pressures lets attempt to pull together and stop this us and them now.
