It is remarkable how many of the "serves HQ right" type members have similar login names to banned members on HQ.

very sad to read that some members are playing "tennis" on what is so this and so that about HQ and/or the org.

in the end what is happening to HQ has to do with all of us as Prince fans/fams (whatever you like to call yourselves).

I hope this will not happen though as this is happening it might happen to the org. in the future as well. So stop being so damn arrogant!!! mad

I understand your point, a lot of fans maybe do not even know what is going on at this moment.
From my point of view, as a fan, i do not want (and am not going) to be a slave (using Prince's phrase from a while ago). The whole feeling i get out of this is the fact that Prince is trying to control everything.
Maybe i am a dreamer (Motley) but it would be a great thing if Prince started working together with his fans (as in websites like the Org and HQ). since the ONA tour i have been braining about this.
We as a (big) community, can work together communicating with the Prince camp about certain aspects. I have a feeling Prince is expecting us to do so and so. but we (as a community) do not see anything in return.
For example: I am refering to the ticketsales for the London dates. Nobody from the Prince camp has communicated to us (as in fans) about this.
Though i know and can confirm they discussed this in the Prince camp.
How strange that Prince has never put a message on 3121.com about the way this was handled.
Now this "control thing" is happening and he is trying to hurt the ones that, in the end, he needs the most.
I do not see the point in that.
Of course i understand not everyone agrees with what i am saying/thinking. Though, i know there are a lot out there that do.

Can't disagree with that. HQ have a a hard on for Prince in recent months - ok that is up to them. I also think Prince is not exactly playing nice.

But to capitulate in the way they did is wrong. They have no excuse. Oh and yes I am banned from HQ but that doesn't sway my comments either way.

You've bought up a good point there Tammie with regards to tickets.

Despite what people think about HQ, we do try hard to represent the fans and as a result spent a great deal of time trying to talk to AEG and the NPG team to resolve those ticket disputes.

AEG didn't reply to a single email and the NPG team told us that it was 100% AEG's issue and they refused to get involved other than forwarding my messages.

If this battle/problem as you call it were just between Housequake and Prince, you'd be right in you're assessment. However this is about more than just Housequake! It involves almost every place online where Prince fans congregate.

It is safe to say that this battle is between all fans and Prince because if we keep sticking our heads in the sand on this, it is going to effect each and every one of us, in one way or another, whether it relates to Prince or not!

rolleyes

My first response would be maybe they have banned members because those banned broke the rules. omfg How logical a reason! (I don't know the circumstances but there are usually 3 sides to every story-each of the people involved and the truth.)

Please, 5 - 10 people have posted here that HQ banned them? Out of hundreds (thousands?) of members who have not been banned, that's a fairly small percentage. I'm sure the Org has banned people too, obviously they can't post about that here because they're---ummmm---banned from doing so! lol

At HQ we didn't throw it out in the open immediately. This has been going on since 2003 and now it got out of hand. I am 99% sure that the org or any other fansite didn't get as much demands as HQ. Otherwise a lot more would have been disappeared from the web.

So you know how to secure pro-bono representation for a fan site being potentially sued for copyright infringment of photos that you also have on a website that you moderate, yet you don't provide any information other than a vague "I know someone that you don't know".

That's rather sad in my opinion sad

sad?...i don't know you...i don't hang out at hq...i have no vested interest and your tone here doesn't really make me want to jump up and down and help you...this ain't the org's battle. its hqs...and if the time comes when the org has to deal with sh*t then i would be more then happy to pull whatever resources to make sure that the org's rights are protected.

now like i said, if you had engaged folks in a collaberative tone maybe i would feel compelled to help you out...instead, im rather annoyed...expecially after your above post...what the f*ck is that all about?

*the funny thing is, i was giving your arse a hint and instead you took it as a negative. class!! rolleyes

Some people in this forum are taking things too personal.
repeating themselves several times by saying not every fan gives a shit about what is happening.
If you do not care then why are you posting in this discussion.
In the end the people who care, as in the ones that are "ruffeling royal feathers" (love that one) hope to get somewhere with all of this.
