-- I am not the one for foolishness. You have right to express your opinion and I have a right to express mine.
Fams can express their disgust by not going to this event. That is all fams can do. This is a fact.
Fams have no right to know anything about the financial matters concerning the estate. This is a fact.
If you want to know anything take the time to look it up on the MNCourts website. All public court docs are listed right there for fams to view. This is a fact.
Once again, you're trying to tell me what to do. Back up off me, will you? Now, I think someone just posted a never-before-seen eggplant picture of Prince on your sexuality thread. Why don't you go check on that. Whatever the case, just stay in your lane. I will say this: The courts have nothing to do with these parties, nor does the estate.
Speaking of matters of public record, I found this bit of public information on PRNFamily posted on another thread by an Orger: "Who owns the PRNFamily twitter account?"

PRNFamily.com, .net, and .org were just purchased a month ago today (20.Aug.2016), so you could almost surmise it's going to be a site coming up. They also list the contact as Omar Baker. The address for the person who registered is 115 King Creek Road (this is public information, by the way). If you look at an article by TheCurrent.org when they listed Prince's properties, it lists that address as where Mattie & Hayward lived: http://blog.thecurrent.or...-property/ One could think that Omar lives there now.
PS I once noted that Prince owned a house on Dakota Avenue in Chanhassen ( http://prince.org/msg/7/423014 ), very close to Paisley Park. That same house is listed in that article.

OK. Confession time. I am feeling SUPER insecure about going to the afterparty. I'm going to the concert on Thursday with a friend of mine, but she can't go to the afterparty. I live only an hour away, so I was planning on going Friday. By myself. Having serious second-thoughts about this. I will not know a soul.
I'm not even sure of there are any tickets left, so perhaps I'm stressing all for naught. Also, I can't dance for shit.
UGH!! Stupid insecurities!!! |

Go! Go! Go! I have lived long enough to say with 100% confidence, you will always regret not going-far more than any awkwardness you will feel being there. It's a perfect party to go by yourself. As for not dancing well-ha! have you ever noticed the people in live performances? They look like someone out of Revenge of the Nerds and surely couldn't dance. Trust me, you'll be glad you went. Let us know what you decide. I'm cheering you on! |

Go sometimes it better with yourself. That being said I'm dragging a friend along that won't probably be into it as much as I will be and I'm worried about that. |

I'm wondering why spend the money to have it at the Muse and just not have it at Paisley Park from say 11pm-3am. Then again they probably making their money off of liquor sales.
And, I know that the fams would much prefer having it at Paisley Park. Moreover, having liquor there goes against everything Prince believed. I know, it is what it , but I'm just saying... I know no alcohol was allowed at PP (for obvious reasons) but did Prince have a policy of no alcohol anywhere he performed? Paisley Park is in your heart

P fams are the best ever and you will always find people to connect with. You will regret it if you don't! U can be the side effect, I'd rather be the dope. |

No, all the Prince concerts sold liquor that I went to. And there was lots of pot smoking, too. The usual concert environment. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

True, however, that is different from events sponsored by him or his representatives, no? But no need to quibble. I hope everyone attending has a grand time and will comport themselves in a way that will not detract from Prince's legacy. |

I'm going alone, too. So that's 3 of us at the party *not alone*. Right? Purple play-date. Let's dance! My dancing is kinda ok, but I can't sing worth a damn and I will anyway. Cmon, it'll be fun!
Btw: I have an extra ga ticket for sale. Save you a trip to the website. Please let me know. [Edited 9/30/16 19:33pm]And the MUSIC continues...forever... |

OK. But, these tributes could have been at PP, too. That's the point some of us are trying to make. Nonetheless, have a great time celebrating P's life and musical legacy. I wish I could be in MLPS to partake. |

What I meant by liquor sales is they get a cut I'm sure from MUSE. You make a ton of money off liquor sales. PP might of not even been allowed to sell liquor. depending on zoning. |

For those interested in more info regarding the 3 events celebrating Prince's legacy being organized by Prince's family, check out @PRNFamily on Twitter. They posted a video of Gsharp sharing more details including arrangements being made for other very special guests, the set up of the venue, etc.
Gsharp is the lead singer of a local Minneapolis based band that will also perform that night. [Edited 10/1/16 9:08am]

I have also heard that sometimes Prince did that and would not publicize it.
Perhaps that's what his family is doing as well with the three events to celebrate his legacy.
We don't know whether they are or they are not.
In the video posted earlier Gsharp talks about the dance parties and the charities Prince's siblings support. Check it out. [Edited 10/3/16 14:45pm] |
