From Twitter: "I am angry and disgusted that Prince, charging $400 for tickets, only bothered to barely focus for 80 minutes Just rubbish. #princemelbourne"

Well you are going to get that for charging that amount for under 90 minutes But I think long term, this tour will be highly regarded for the actual performances of the songs. And prince opening up a bit more than the usual gigs.It certainly is looking like this tour is for the hardcore. But yes, it is too much money!

The Love We Make Big City Jam Batman Somewhere Over the rainbow intro He apologised to the people who went to the first show as he had just heard some bad news - the next few songs are for I thought he said Bambi but maybe he said Vanity. Little Red Corvette/Dirty Mind Beautiful Ones How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore Paisley Park Raspberry Beret Sweet Thing Do Me Baby Starfish and Coffee Waiting in Vain/If Was Ur Girlfriend Dorothy Parker I wanna be your lover - he sang 'I wanna be the only one you come for' 1000 Xs and Os Black Muse The Ladder - 'the King had a subject called Vanity' Purple Rain - his Ooo oo oo oo part almost sounded like him crying - I've never heard him sing it like that before - it was a not a singalong part. I'm sure I'm missing plenty and they aren't in order. Someone else can fill in gaps. Ticket pick up was a breeze.

Second show was a big party! Prince even apologised for how effected he was in the first show. Crowd was standing for most of the show. Yes I wished there was one more encore and yes if you judge your shows purely on dollars per minute you'd be pissed, but by that rationale Dirty Mind is his worst album. This was a unique peek into his mind... And worth every cent for the songs he dug out of the archives and the passion he injected into standards. Highlights of show 2 for me - The Max, Dorothy Parker, Purple Rain.
