Thanks for the offer PurpleVIP. I ended up buying an Ultimate VIP package to the 10pm Sydney show at the Opera house. Now I'm stuck with a Category A I can't sell (due to the rules) and can't get a refund on. I knew that before I bought the VIP so it's my decision and I'm not complaining. I was very unhappy with the location of it. Circle 2 Row M. In other words right up the back. From my interpretation of the map (excluding the boxes to the sides and at the back of the stage;

From closest to farthest it's;

Stalls then Circle 1 and then Circle 2 (which is the farthest section from the stage) and I had Circle 2 row M! How bad for $400!

[Edited 2/12/16 20:00pm]

is that what your original ticket said Circle 2? Wow that is bad for $400. But then the venue is only small. I am sure you could get someone else wristbanded for that if you meet them there to collect the ticket?

IF there is anyone left who doesn't have a ticket yet for SOH #1, there are still good seats in the sections behind the stage on ticketek for $228

Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

They had row c last night in the choir gallery and was so tempted to get one but when confirming you have to tick a box that says you understand that view is restricted so decided not to do it - you're right on top of the stage so wouldn't be surprised if there was a big bloody screen in the way - which would have pissed me off. Trying not to tie myself in knots over bloody seats - just grateful the shows are coming. I'm playing Controversy now - starting to get psyched music cool

late to the party as always (just lurking really...seeing who I recognise on here lol)...

I got a $219 ticket for the early show and $390 for the late show in Auckland....costing me a penny or 2 to get to Auckland from Dunedin - but I've had to go to Aussie every other tour since 1992 so it's not too bad this time round!! So far I've been to 7 main shows (1992/2003/2012) a soundcheck (2003) and an aftershow (2012) - there's no way I was gonna miss this tour in my home country!

The biggest problem I had was getting time off work at short notice - but got it all sorted just before tix went on sale.... flying up Tuesday night after work, will be at both shows on wednesday night and then gotta fly back to Dunedin for work the next morning..... this true funk soldier is ready and reporting for duty!!

I thought we'd be "wristbanded" when we went into the concert, not when we picked up the tickets. I'd planned on picking up my two tickets solo; if I need my guest with me at that time it will create logistical difficulties.

Org-ers who attend the Tuesday Melbourne shows, please report on what happens exactly with regard to all that crap; it will be worth knowing.

I just want to know if Paul (the MJ-singing legend from the 2003 Brisbane soundcheck) will be at any concerts?? I'd love to shout him a drink in Sydney smile

(edited to change Monty to Paul - there must have been another character called Monty there too)

I've bought 2 $390 tickets to the 10pm Auckland show but I'm not happy with my seats. If say my stepdad was to buy two better seats (ie VIP) under my name, if I were there to collect the first lots of $390 tickets would he be able to use them? I'm hoping so because I'm pretty blind and P is pretty small and Circle RR is just not the flavour I prefer.

PS I made this account like a week ago to excitedly post but I 4got the Org doesn't allow you to post for a while. So here I am sharing my excitement. I've cried at least three times since I heard the news. Full body goosebumps whenever I remember.

One you're all in the venue, can't see how that can stop individuals swapping their seats. Just go in together and swap tickets and the ushers will point the way.

Sweet, we did it anyway. Row G Muh fucka! Can't believe this is actually happening! I never in my life thought I would see Prince. Meant to be saving for a trip to Europe in July but this is literally a dream come true.

I rang the SOH about this very thing and was told I would have to take the other person with me when I collected the tickets and we have to be wristbanded at the same time. I have to show my ID and the credit card that I used to purchase with too. But she did stress that we both have to go together and get the bands on at the same time.

Wishful thinking from their side. There is no way they can enforce that and I don't think that has ever been a requirement.

Hmmm, I correct myself. You can pick up the tickets together with the second unnamed person just before entering the show, then you would be together anyway and it wouldn't be a problem for them to enforce it.

No need to go there together in advance.

What they can also do is to require the name of the second person when you pick up your ticket and wristband. Then the other person with that name can later go and pick up his/her wristband with a Photo ID: http://media.ticketmaster...ements.pdf

My guess is that because of these rules many seats will be empty, and even if your seat is not so good, you can just move to one of the better empty seats smile

It also means that there might be a lot of chaos and arguing when people pick up their tickets and it might be best to pick them up early if you don't want to miss the show.

Of course that is true you can do it before the show, when I spoke to the lady at the SOH she did tell me this is the first time they have ever had to go through this procedure and it was strict and she said to allow more time rather than less - but again, she did say both have to go together to collect the tickets and get wristbanded at the same time. I guess that we will find out how this all works once the Melbourne gig is on and hope it's not too much hassle eek

Hello and greetings to one and all.

I am writing this post to inquire if there are any plans for any formal/informal Meet Ups for the Australia and New Zealand leg of the Piano & A Microphone 2016 Tour?

My appologies if there is already a post or a thread on this topic. If that is the case rather than flame me please help me and point me to the post/thread. Thank you for your kindness.

I will be attending the 10pm Sydney Opera House show and would like to participate in any Sydney Meet Ups to make the most out of my experience. I'll be traveling from Utah, USA. but am originally from Minneapolis. Anyone else from Utah or Minnesota going to any of the Australia and/or New Zealand shows?

Thanks in advance. Enjoy the shows. PeaceAndBeWild!

For those attending the Melbourne concerts, the Australian Ballet Company has a page that lets you check the view from different seating areas in the State Theatre:

https://www.australianbal..._melbourne

Note: Their seating categories are different - but this does give you a sense of what the view is like from different levels, front and back etc.

Were seats AA-EE actually sold? I bought an Ultimate Package (1st five rows) and my ticket is just "A". AA-EE are optional seats when an orchestra isn't playing.

Interesting.... Maybe you should check your email Eyasha. Look for an email labelled 'Important Event Information | Prince.

There was some sort of stuff up with Premium seats - maybe Ultimate as well. I had a Premium seat, it was in DD - then I got an email on Friday evening informing me that my ticket has been relocated five rows back to B.

If your seat has been changed, please let me know. A few of us are enquiring about this situation with Ticketmaster

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here and excited for the gigs. Can't believe it's next weekend. I love that we don't have to wait long unlike most times when you buy the tickets and then have to wait 8-12 mths.

I was very lucky and lined up at SOH (took away a lot of my stress) so got great seats for both shows and also managed to grab a ticket for the 10pm show at State Theatre. Will be great to meet up with some of you smile.

Hoping for a surprise appearance somewhere on Friday night in Sydney. Or an after party on Sunday.
